My 33-year search for the perfect eyeliner...

...is finally over!

It's easy to apply, doesn't need sharpening, waterproof, doesn't smudge, comes of easily with my simple face wipes and is reasonably priced at £4.50ish.

Hurrah!

Oh wow, sounds great, I'll check it out! I feel your pain re searching for the perfect liner. I've heard the Kat Von D tattoo liner is v good but it's mega £.

CaptainWarbeck · 31/03/2016 10:40

Oh oh can we see what the tip is like? Is it a pen/crayon type liner?

trixymalixy · 31/03/2016 11:00

what is it? The picture is coming up too small on my screen.

squoosh · 31/03/2016 17:45

Looks like a Rimmel Scandaleyes

itsbetterthanabox · 31/03/2016 17:56

Can't read it properly. Is it the thick and thin one?

MaryMarigold · 31/03/2016 21:10

Ha, I chucked that one away after two uses. It transferred entirely to just under my eyebrows. Not the look I was going for.

Now using a Collection one, much better.

Funny how different things work/don't work for different people, eh?!

Sparkletastic · 31/03/2016 21:11

Same MaryMarigold

Sparkletastic · 31/03/2016 21:12

As in chucked Scandaleyes one as it was shit for me. Liking Bourjois pen eyeliner for cheapo and Stila for expensive at the mo.

bigbuttons · 31/03/2016 21:12

My eyeliner life has been transformed since I started using powdered kohl with a stick applicator. Could never use anything else now. Horses for courses.

MeganChips · 31/03/2016 21:15

Seventeen Tattoo me is my holy grail eyeliner.

It performs exactly like the Urban Decay 24/7 but is a fiver! I won't buy anything else ever, unless it's discontinued.

I'm glad you've found the one OP Smile

cheapandcheerful · 01/04/2016 08:35

Yes it's Rimmel Scandaleyes.

And here's a picture of the pen-like tip.

That looks rather good. Might have to give it a go. With Rimmel you can't really lose anyway with the prices Smile

BreakfastLunchPasta · 01/04/2016 16:48

Oh I'm useless with eyeliner pen. Haven't tried it for years though so might be time to revisit.

My fave eyeliner is topshop Khol. It goes on evenly and smoothly and costs £6.

YesAnastasia · 01/04/2016 17:02

Oooh I'll try that!

The Kat Von D tattoo liner isn't great, DH brought me one from America & it's not very intense black, is rather thin & comes off on your finger.

Talk about products being discontinued! My search was over when I discovered Avon's Extra Lasting Liquid liner - it was amazing & was still on in the morning (as was my Sephora lipstain - it was quite a shock Shock for DC/DH haha) now I can't buy it any more & the search begins again.

Katarzyna79 · 01/04/2016 17:07

ive always used rimmel but not the pen one, I like the ultra fine brush. I tried more expensive brands i.e Chanel, Lancôme, Clinique, Estee Lauder but I didn't see what quality they gave me compared with the cheaper Rimmel. Rimmel is such good value too.

I do want to try Mac Gel liner though Gel has a different effect to liquid liners. I have tried a Pharmacy brand but didn't like it, plus the tub dried out really quickly and I couldn't apply it without it flaking.

Longdistance · 01/04/2016 17:13

I have used the Covergirl eyeliner in the past, til they discontinued it Hmm

Now use either L'oreal pen and the Clinque fine liner. All pens, hate the pencil ones, they just smudge.

TrixieBernadette · 01/04/2016 17:25

I used either the collection pen, or the MUA extreme pen. Loved my black eyeliner.

Then sadly I got dermatitis on my eye lids, we think as a reaction to the black ink. Devastated.

Replaced all my make up and temporarily using a click up crayon type in dark brown instead. Isn't the same.

My holy grail eyeliner is W7 liquid, its about £1 or the Primark one also £1. Doesn't budge and doesn't smear all over on removing.
Maybelline does the best gel liner IMO.

CutYourHairAndGetAJob · 01/04/2016 17:33

I like the body shop liquid eyeliner

skippy67 · 01/04/2016 18:49

I had the scandaleyes one, dried out in about 30 seconds flat. I like the body shop one.

MassiveStrumpet · 02/04/2016 07:08

I have that Scandaleyes. It's good but I expect the felt tips to dry out quickly.

When I mean business, I use Benefit Push Up. But not every day because it is impossible to remove completely.
