Hi, I would like to know if anyone has any experience with plastic surgery abroad? I have recommendation for Formé clinic in Prague (CZ). Friend of mine was there about a year ago and she was really satisfied. I would like to undergo tummy tuck or mommy makeover. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Lady158, many thanks for your answer! I've already booked surgery there. I'm really nervous but really happy I finally found good clinic. I'll keep you updated. My coordinator is Marketa and she seems really nice. I'm looking forward to see her and my surgeon face to face.

I had a tummy tuck about 3 months ago on Formé clinic in Czech Republic. Was able to return to work and regular activties at about 6 weeks and even though i usually heal slowly from injuries, my incision seems to be healing up great. So glad i went through with it!

Have I just clicked on an infomercial?

Sounds almost as if these posts could have been written by someone in ...... oh I don't know Prague or somewhere!!!

I don't know anything about plastic surgery but I know my DH is fed up with patients presenting for emergency appointments after having substandard dentistry carried out in e.g. Poland/Brazil/India. He patches them up (which many dentists legitimately refuse to do) but they are often then horrified to be advised that the NHS went replace their 3 dodgy implants and they are looking at around 20k to have it done properly here due to all the remedial work that needs done

What will you do if everything goes wrong?

Grinhopping

I've seen a few return from surgery abroad in my line of work, only to need work done to repair the damage (infection etc) on the NHS. PLus it transpires they paid similar prices to private at home. If anyone is actually considering this please have an appointment with a local clinic FIRST and don't assume it's cheaper elsewhere!

I work in plastic surgery and most of the revisions we do are people who previously went abroad. Plus the aftercare simply isn't as good.

My 3 year old is currently giving me a mommie makeover

I have a pineapple pony tail and am on my tenth layer of pretend nail varnish on my toes!
