Going bra-less with summer dress

Is this acceptabe or inappropriate?

I am 38, have had 2 children, am a size 10 in clothes and 34B in bust size. Is it ok to go bra-less? I just bought a new dress with a deep V in the back. I tried it on with a bra to check if a backless bra might work but it spoils the line of the dress somehow.

I don't have a problem with it from a modesty point of view as I'm not large of boob but I'm worried others might see it as generally inappropriate in some way.

I think its totally fine. As long as your boobs aren't falling out and exposing nipple, I don't see the problem at all.

I have never even considered it might not be appropriate, as long as I'm covered. And I think a lot of women wear summer dresses without bras. Don't worry!

I think it's fine. I'm the same size as you and consider it a perk of being relatively small-boobed!

MamaLazarou · 27/03/2016 17:03

If your breasts are pert and perky, go for it!

albertcampionscat · 27/03/2016 17:06

If you look like a minor character in Games of Thrones, then go for it.

RobotMenu · 27/03/2016 18:59

Not inappropriate at all. Whether it looks good, only you can tell. I hate seeing saggy boobs under summer clothes, but that's my problem, not there's (and yours may be pert).

BennyTheBall · 27/03/2016 19:00

As long as they are not droopy - go for it.

specialsubject · 27/03/2016 19:29

as long as you aren't in a country where you'll get in trouble for this, go for it. It is braless, not topless!

InionEile · 27/03/2016 20:38

Well now that you mention it, albert, I do bear a passing resemblance to the Sansa Stark actress if you add, like, 20 years to her age Grin

Breasts are perky enough considering age and breastfeeding 2 kids so maybe I can pull it off... I live in California, not really a conservative part of the world! I am just paranoid about these things because I grew up in a pretty conservative environment.

If you feel like it then go for it. I dont think it matters whether they are droopy or not, its about what you feel like. I think we have been conned to believe our boobs should be artificially hoiked up

albertcampionscat · 28/03/2016 07:59

InionElle,

Seriously, go for it. I would if I could!

Bunbaker · 28/03/2016 08:02

If you are a size 10 I bet you aren't really a 34B either.
