I think so, dungarees and pinafores seem to be. My 4 year old likes it!

lorelei9here · 26/03/2016 19:23

aww...but I was wondering if adults like it Grin

No! Just no, not on adults!

ZaraW · 26/03/2016 19:40

I've got a pair of charcoal skinny cords from J Crew got them about three years ago. I really like them and they make a change from grey or black jeans I usually wear in winter.

lorelei9here · 26/03/2016 19:42

awful lot of places selling them but it may just be terminology

I picture old fashioned thick stuff

here's some examples from ASOS and H&M

I have some needlecord jeggings but I'm not in the least bit trendy, so it's probably a huge "no" Grin

museumum · 26/03/2016 19:54

I have a couple of fine cord skirts. I like texture.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/03/2016 19:54

TopShop have some chunky cord pinafore dresses but if I saw someone over the age of 19 wearing them, I'd think they were auditioning to be a Kids' TV Presenter.

Didiusfalco · 26/03/2016 20:08

I have cord leggings - i love them!

However like the pp said, I have no clue so you should probably take this as confirmation that cord is deeply unfashionable.

Kez0777 · 26/03/2016 20:54

I'm 38 and have a cord pinifore Grin

dudsville · 26/03/2016 21:19

I have loads of skinny cords, the fabric is really thin and lightweight and I think they're a nice alternative to more formal trousers.

OooLookShoes · 26/03/2016 21:20

I hope it is back in.. I am also deeply unfashionable, but it is so damn practical and perfect for work.

Where can I get some cheap ish straight legged stretch cords in Autumn colours wihtout paying ££££

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/03/2016 21:24

Where do people find skinny cords? I quite fancy some grey ones.

dudsville · 26/03/2016 21:26

I bought mine online from a shop in the states that have that arrangement re taxes. It's called Eddie Bauer and they have different shapes, similar to Levi's, such that I can get my shapely backside into a size uk 12's!

ouryve · 26/03/2016 21:27

It might be in, but it's hardly seasonal.

lorelei9here · 26/03/2016 22:09

Remus, I linked to grey ones.

Ourvye, it's still cold so it's winter.

Thanks. I don't like the cargo ones though - just fancy bog standard skinnies.

lorelei9here · 27/03/2016 18:01

so the cords that I'm seeing are narrower, flatter and not oddly velvety like the cords I remember Dad wearing in the 80s?!

I shop online and a couple of pairs of jeans I've liked have come up as cotton corduroy but they don't look how I perceive corduroy. If they are actually nice and warm for long walks in borderline weather they might be good for me but I'm finding it hard to shake the memory of Dad's corduoroy trousers. Actually, come to that, I think mum might have had some but she mostly wears saris so I don't quite remember.

These look quite nice.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 27/03/2016 18:39

I have some skinny ones from Boden. Or they might be straight leg, but on me they are skinny.

lorelei9here · 27/03/2016 18:59

Remus, I do find them a bit reminiscent of the 80s...! then again the 80s are back I guess.
