Went shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding at the end of April. I knew I'd gained weight, but it would appear that I've skipped 16's and gone straight to 18. I also appear to have gone completely invisible. I went in & out of about 3 shops with no one speaking a word in my direction - and these were boutiques!!!

It was such a glum experience that I almost teared up at the YSL counter where I was buying a cheer-me-up lipstick

Aww, that's a miserable way to spend a Saturday. My cure for "invisibility" is to walk up to an assistant, smile and ask for something... makes me hard to ignore. Don't worry about boutiques at all, if they want to miss out on sales / commission that's their problem.

Ask on here for recommendations for the outfit you want to buy for the wedding, I'm sure people here can help.

Aw, sounds like this wasn't your day notfinished but don't let it defeat you, some days are like this.
