Looking for style tips after weight gain

Hi all

I am 5 ft 7in and weigh around 14 and a half stones....depending on brand this makes me a 16 although I had to buy jeans in size 18 last week (regretting this as they don't fit right Confused )

I am totally lost in what I should be wearing. I have a very large bust and am struggling to find my style after gaining 2 stones.

I am off on holiday soon and have tried on my summer stuff and of course hardly anything fits me. I do however have a couple of maxi skirts for daytime/evening but not sure what to wear on top? I also have a few maxi dresses that look OK as the cover a multitude of sins.

Any advice?

I would make sure I had well-fitting underwear as that makes a big difference.

Buy a couple of (ideally mix and match) bikini/tankini/swimsuits in your bra size (brastop or bravissimo are good for these - I'm a big fan of the curvy kate brand.

I would wear loose fitting vest tops over swimwear, palazzo pants (or linen trousers) and linen mix tshirts.

For your holiday, pick a colour scheme of 2-3 colours and try to stick to that so you can mix and match.

Buy some nice sandals and get a pedicure/ paint your toe nails so you feel "finished".

On holiday I don't think anyone else notices/cares what others wear, so make sure you're comfortable and feel good above everything else.

Itscurtainsforyou...thank you so much for replying.

I like the idea of choosing a colour scheme I think the mistake I make is just buying things as I see them instead of thinking of what I already have in my wardrobe.

I have a pair of white linen trousers that still fit so will be able to mix and match tops to go with them and the maxi skirts. It's my bust that is my biggest problem and everything I wear just looks so mumsy.

Nail and hair appointment next Thursday so will feel ready to go and plan to start eating better when I return from holiday to get rid of the 2 stone that has whacked on me (in not too much time at all Cake )

my usual holiday recommendation is boardshorts on your lower half. Look good on anyone, dry quickly so allow you to get swimming, keep the sun off and don't have the nuisance factor of bikini bottoms.

enjoy!

ps they come in a variety of lengths, so you can get shorter ones if you are the leggy type. Or longer ones if you are shaped like me. Smile
