Your best range budget lippies

Well?
I am trying to spend less and have been looking at high st ranges but aren't impressed.
This is why... Rimmel don't have a colour I like, the Kate Moss nudes are quite nice but dry my lips terribly. L'Oreal are all a bit grungy nudes, ditto Maybelline, I really can't find anything that works for me. I like a beigey/pinky/ peachy shade.

Currently using Clinique Pop in Beige which is a great shade for me, but it's drying. I know it's not marketed as long lasting, but I find it has very little moisture after a while.

I've made some expensive mistakes with high end lippies though at this rate I'm going to have to shell out £20+ for B Brown or Chanel, just to get the colour choice.

Revlon. Not so keen on their Lip Butters but the regular lipsticks are great - nice colour range, lovely formula, non drying, last well. Just as good as MAC I reckon. Usually £7.99 but often on 3 for 2 or similar in Boots or Superdrug.

Calvin Klein. First Kiss is a lovely shade?

I bought approx 10 when they had them in the poundshop!

Also NYX

Love Kiko lipsticks. I have (amongst others) a lovely Matt red and it's not drying at all.
They also do a really lip exfoliating scrub/balm.

Use a good lip balm underneath, EOS is the in one of the moment and tbh is really nice and light. I wear it under lippy.

Nabootique · 22/03/2016 09:09

I came on to say NYX as well. Love love love the Soft Matte Lip Creams.

MUA have some lovely shades for £1. They aren't the most long wearing but cheap as chips so topping up isn't a huge deal

The Kate Rimmel range. Some good colour dupes for Mac

Avon - i've been pleasantly surprised by their lipsticks and make up in general actually. Their matt range (can't remember what it's called but strapline is 'more matt than mac') is good for pops of matt colour - i've got a fab red and a pink which I wear a lot. You will have to reapply during the day, but for the cost (£4 ish) I think they're fab.

Collection ( used to be collection 2000). They're £2.99 and as good as some of the more expensive lipsticks I've forked out for. Rosewood is a lovely semi matte medium nude, and cafe au lait is another really wearable nude. The finish reminds me of Mac creme sheens!

FrustratedFrugal · 23/03/2016 14:51

Kiko is fab. Just as good as any high-end lipsticks.

Dreamqueen · 23/03/2016 14:58

i love Kiko too

Lottapianos · 23/03/2016 15:07

Another vote for Kiko, although not all of their lipstick ranges are created equal. I had one that I hated and threw it in the bin after a few wears (Stylo I think). I now have a Velvet Mat (which is, confusingly, not matte!) red and I absolutely love it - non-drying, lasts well, great colour

Pixi do great lippies!
