www.marksandspencer.com/c/style-and-living/the-metallic-midi-skirt?extid=em_sew_160315_WW1&ep_mid=5214004&ep_rid=535812339

I think it's real bad, but I'm prepared to be corrected.

I think it's gorgeous!

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 15/03/2016 11:37

That shirt doesn't look right with that skirt. I like them separately.

Awholelottanosy · 15/03/2016 11:37

Frumpy - reminds me of schoolteachers in the 1970s!

Corygal1 · 15/03/2016 11:40

Oh no, I love the skirt. Mind you, it's in the most unflattering cut known to woman, the most unflattering fabric, and the most unflattering length. OK if you're a 12 yr old model. Or a very skinny old lady.

But I really like it with that shirt too - good styling.

CaptainWarbeck · 15/03/2016 11:47

I do like the skirt.

The shoulder bit on the top is weird though.

sleepwhenidie · 15/03/2016 11:50

Hate the blouse, which isn't helped by what looks like an ill fitting strapless bra underneath definitely fitted by M&S but love the skirt.

BettyBi0 · 15/03/2016 11:59

The model looks less than impressed too!

I love the skirt but styled differently. The shirt looks like half a fancy dress cowgirl costume

yomellamoHelly · 15/03/2016 12:01

Reminds me of what my mum used to wear many moons ago - and therefore wouldn't put that combo together. Probably fine with different top / bottom though.

ProbablyMe · 15/03/2016 12:02

Ooo I wore a pink version of that blouse to my first disco (Brownies, age 8) in 1983. It was, with hindsight, not a great look. The skirt is ok though although probably only for slender ladies with no hips. I wore a pink ra-ra skirt in '83, I still miss it.

MelanieCheeks · 15/03/2016 12:05

I keep looking at that skirt in store (it's the quickest route to my office), and thinking, Ooooh, I quite like that!

ApocalypseSlough · 15/03/2016 12:05

Love the skirt. It'd only look good with that blouse on a skinny Minnie though.

timeforabrewnow · 15/03/2016 12:06

Oh my - maybe I am well behind the times then, as I hate the skirt. The material is nice, but the whole mid-length thing and the strange bagginess of it just doesn't do it for me.

I'm sure I had a blouse like that too - many moons ago. It's not really a look I want to go back to now that I'm proper middle-aged!

Love the skirt but not keen on the top Smile

Potterwolfie · 15/03/2016 15:28

Saw the skirt in store recently and actually laughed. It's hideous, scratchy and in revolting shades of green and gold. It's an unpleasant shape too. I don't understand how it actually get to the shop floor stage.

FauxFox · 15/03/2016 15:31

Meh...doesn't hurt my eyes but i wouldn't wear any of it personally.

specialsubject · 15/03/2016 16:59

the model doesn't look very impressed - for good reason.

PicnicPie · 15/03/2016 17:04

I think the skirt is super cute. Definitely not with that blouse though.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/03/2016 17:07

I actually like the skirt. The blouse could be okay in a different colour, but it doesn't go with the skirt.

NeedToMoveHouse · 15/03/2016 17:14

What an odd mix. Is that a turquoise belt I spy? To go with the black and gold skirt and white cowboy shirt Hmm

cressetmama · 15/03/2016 17:16

Quite like the skirt shape and the idea of a metallic skirt (looking for something new for niece's summer wedding) is good. Not styled like that though!

squoosh · 15/03/2016 17:16

I love the skirt's material but the midi length looks frumpsville on most people. So it's a 'no' from me.

As for the shirt I'd like it if the ruffled bit was on the front alone rather than creeping over to encompass the sleeves too.

squoosh · 15/03/2016 17:17

The two look weird together though.
