Help needed please: 3/4 length running capris that don't slide down...?

I've just started running again, and am desperately searching for a pair of 3/4 length running capris that:
a) hold everything in and up
b) make me look thinner than I actually am, and most of all -
c) stay up in place over my lardy gut, rather than sliding underneath it rather un-fetchingly.
The amount of times I must have been observed hoiking my current Nike running capris up as they persist in heading towards my knees whilst trying to maintain some sort of rhythm to my running is ridiculous. Gives me the absolute rage, and makes me look vaguely unhinged. Please help!

Do they have a drawstring in? I can only deal with ones with them otherwise they slide off me!

CMOTDibbler · 11/03/2016 23:28

Drawstring waists are the only way to go imo. My favourite capris are actually Aldi ones, followed by Hind. I may get some Under Armour ones based on the tights I really like wearing due to a nice wide waistband.

Lidl are great for running leggings. I prefer the aldi designs but lidl is a better fit.

My favourite are from Gap, nice wide waistband. They never head south and I think they're quite flattering....

You want proper running capris with s drawstring at the waist.

Gore are the best IMO but pricey. Ronhill are also very good and much cheaper.

Kalenji ones from Decathlon are the best budget buy IMO. Just make sure you get the ones that sit high up on the waist.

Ronhill and Gore ones are my favourite

FauxFox · 12/03/2016 07:10

Size down. I wear them v. tight with a looser top to avoid this problem.

eurochick · 12/03/2016 07:37

I recommend ronhill too.

Yep, internal drawstring is the way to go. My favourites are sweaty Betty

I find m&s sports wear pretty good

Cakescakescakes · 12/03/2016 13:18

Gap ones are great and have drawstring. Often 30% off code kicking about too.

AstrantiaMallow · 12/03/2016 13:27

Sweaty Betty

I got a nice pair from Costco a few weeks ago. Fulfil all your criteria Smile

Fab, thanks all. I have never tried drawstring ones, but it seems obvious now you point it out. That gives me some places to check out for a start at least, I just can't face the idea of forking out for ones that just don't do the job.
Thanks again!

Drawstring all the way. Also, avoid cotton Lycra ones. They are sods for sliding down in my experience.
