Elasticizer

Anyone use this? Is it worth the money?
I have fine, flat, dry hair. Would it be suitable? Also how do you use it?

I've not used it, but saw a demo on Qvc the other day (think it's on offer this month) and it looked really good, lady had lovely bouncy hair afterwards. They used it as a mask I think before shampoo. Wasn't cheap, but it was a huge bottle.

If you are ok with hair products with silicones in it, then you will love elasticizer.

I used to use it alot. It was great when I used a harsh shampoo with SLS in it; as soon as changed to a more gentle shampoo, the elasticizer turned my hair to straw. I realised eventually that if you don't regularly use a clarifiying shampoo, the silicone build up is hideous.

It's okay - not lifechanging or anything but a fairly decent hair mask.

It's okay, but for the price, it should be better IMO. It's really for damaged, not necessarily dry hair.

If you're happy in that price range, maybe look at masks from Ojon and Kerastase?

You need to use it on damp hair and work it through in sections (I have very short but regularly dyed hair so quick for me) then leave it in .
I sometimes do it overnight with clingfuilm and a hairwrap (oh the glamour)
It feels better about 2 days after I've used it. And the first couple of times are but it's cumulative.

Ojon available in Boots. There's a regenerating mask (solid oil that melts in hand heat ) but it smells really odd. Coffee/fag ends/herby smell.
The results were never Wow enough for me to forgive the smell.

I couldn't get on with ojon - it smelt too much like an ashtray.

I'm a big fan of elasticizer - especially the neroli and geranium one, but now tempted by rhubarb and elderflower! Leaves my hair feeling in great condition.

I use it once a week as an overnight treatment, anymore than that and it weighs down my fine hair and makes it greasy.

I don't think it's the hero product I've seen it described as.

Depends on your hair, maybe? Mine's very dry and very coarse. Elasticizer is a bloody miracle worker on it - I've tried a lot of £££ stuff on my hair and elasticizer works way better than anything else. But can see it would be a bit much for fine hair or hair already in good condition

It is ok but is mainly castor oil and glycerine so nothing unusual.
My hair is dry and fizzy and this doesn't do a lot but others rave so I may be missing a trick.

I have very fine hair and it did nothing for me but I agree with buying it from QVC if you want to try it. They have 30 day money back guarantee, so you can try it for the 30 days and if it doesn't suit your hair you can still send it back, regardless of how much you have used (I don't work for them either !).

I wouldn't bother, my hair was knackered from bleach so tried it - it's ok and the neroli one smells nice, but I get much better results from putting a bit of olive oil in dry hair overnight and shampooing out in the morning.
Second the qvc suggestion, I really don't think it's worth the money but your hair may feel differently!

I have dry, damaged, thick hair. I've used it and don't get the fuss. I bought the small tube from Amazon, cost me about £6. Will finish it but wouldn't repurchase.

i honestly rate the John Frieda masque as good as Elasticizer, at a quarter of the price.
