Saggy neck

I've developed a saggy neck seemingly all of a sudden. Not wrinkly, not sun damaged, just loose with a wobbly but in the middle. I'm late 30's. My face looks OK as thanks to oily skin when I was younger I've no lines yet so neck looks odd next to my face.

Please could anyone recommend anything to help with this - I'm after a good neck cream plus any other advice! TIA

Lost weight.

Lost a stone about 5 years ago, stayed same weight since, although I was the heavier weight for a good few years before losing it. Did cross my mind but it was ok when I lost the weight. Can't have surgery due to being high risk for clots so looking for products or other things that could improve it.

I know they won't "solve" it though.

Unless you've been indoors for 30 years wearing a polo neck, your neck will be sundamaged.

In terms of prevention - treat your neck like your face. So use a retinol on it, a Vit C serum and religiously SPF it just like you would your face. And stop smoking if you are a smoker. Ignore any creams pretending to be neck specific - the skin on your neck is just skin like the rest of it.

Losing weight is brilliant for your health and your appearance in jeans but not so good for the appearance of your face/neck as the fat tends to fill out the wrinkles especially as you age and lose collagen and elastin. Can't really do anything about that.

What retinol/vit c product would you recommend wolpertinger?

Have a reasonable skincare routine using lrp effeclar at moment with clarins multi-active day cream and double serum but double serum has almost run out and I could do with finding a cheaper alternative if possible that also tackles anti-aging concerns a bit more - particularly if I'm going to be using it on face neck and décolletage.

If you like Effaclar then LRP Redermic R? Otherwise I tend to be a Paula's Choice obsessive.

Serum wise I'm not so good as am too lazy to have done this myself I like Hylamide but haven't got round to trying the Vit C version. Def don't spent too much as once it oxidizes it's no good so you waste the rest of the bottle. Bigbuttons will tell you that you can make your own for pennies

Ooh thank you. Going to check out redermic r and c then. Thanks for the tip about it oxidising, wouldn't have known that.
Can you really make your own? Will check that out too although I'm most likely to read it, and then stick it on a Pinterest board ready for the other life of mine where I have time to do these things!

I'm thinking of accessorising my neck with chokers, already have drawers full of scarves..

Have you looked at facial exercises? Eva Fraser has some for your neck and her book is pretty cheap on amazon (or at least it was when I bought a copy!)
