have bought a lovely new dress for work but there's a problem - static
the dress hasn't been washed/worn yet. when I pick it up, you can actually hear the static, it's audible crackling.
the dress looks great - until I move a little in it / try to walk, at which point it clings to my leggings/tight/bare legs, and in the case of the tights sticks to my bum - not a good look
a lady in the shop said to take it home, try washing it, and try anti static spray, and it 'should' be fine
has anyone come across this before - does washing work? i'm reluctant to wash it if there's a chance i'll need to return it, obviously
