footwear of choice in snow?

As I'm sat here in the car after dropping the kids at school, my sodden sturdy trainers haven't kept my feet dry. So what's your footwear of choice when out in the snow?

I have these and this weekend has been their first proper test.

They've passed with flying colours. Wore them to walk into work yesterday and my feet were dry and toasty. I wear them for work anyway because my work is quite informal so no need to take spare shoes.

I've just been out to buy milk and the pavements are icy slush. They were great and no slipping. Not sure if they'd cope in proper sheet ice but I have some yak tracks. I haven't tried them yet over the heels.

In proper snow I wear my snow boots, they are like walking boots but designed for snow, I have had them a good few years (from skiing holidays).
If I am driving/going to work I have a really good pair of boots from Germany that are leather with a felt lining, waterproof, warm and I can drive in them, which I can't in my snow boots and they are smart enough for work on a snow day.
If it is wet and slushy and I really have to go out I may wear my wellies with 2 pairs of thermal socks or stick to my snow boots.

I am never cold and always prepared, I also get out my ski trousers, jacket, gloves etc if the weather is proper snow This means when I take my DC over to the park to sledge down the hill I am always warm (maybe a little smug) as I see all the parents in their 'fashion' clothes shivering, but they do look better than me.
