Birkenstocks sizing

I'm wanting some silver birkenstocks and I need to order them online. Does anyone know how they come up size wise please?

I'm a standard size 6 in all shoes/sandals but I'd say my feet are fairly slim and I think I recall birkies tend to be quite wide?

I'm a 5 and mine are a size 5. I think they are pretty true to size TBH

I only have one pair (the style with a single strap across the top) and I had to go down a size (bought 38 not my normal 39) .

I have always gone down a size.

I went down a size but also have narrow feet ,they do a narrow fit in some styles

YourHandInMyHand · 03/03/2016 22:33

It was the reviews on amazon that made me ask as lots seem to say go down a size or go for narrow fit.

I think I may just trudge to my local schuh store over the weekend as I'll only be annoyed if they come and don't fit.

Thanks everyone for the tips. Smile

Go down a size and go narrow fit. I'm an absolute size 5 with a high instep and fairly wide spread across the toes if you know what i mean (think duck feet), and always go for a 37 narrow fit (Madrids). They will mould to your feet and look much neater than the generic wide fit.

X post. Definitely narrow unless you have hooves or trotters Wink

I'm a 6 (technically even a 5.5) in normal shoes with very narrow feet and a high instep. Madrids in a 6 (39) narrow are perfect on me.

Generous - size down.
