Slimming mirrors?

Ever since I've had my kids, the only way I remember I had a waist, is by looking at my timehop on facebook...
When I was shopping the other day, I definitely feel like I seemed slimmer in well known high street stores, and I even looked slimmer when I was buying clothes for my daughters in the kids section.
Have any of you other yummy mummies noticed this, or is it just hallucinations from a severe lack of sleep?

Gap changing room mirrors are definitely very slightly curved. This is why 95% of what I buy in there gets taken back straight after trying it on at home, in front of my own, brutally honest mirror. Not sure about other stores but Gap can't be the only offender?

If you make the top of a mirror stick out slightly more than the bottom it'll make you appear slimmer. Quite a few shops do that.
