'Stylish' Shopping Trolley

Hi folks
I have a need for a shopping trolley. I don't drive and have disabilities.
My kids are now too old for the pushchair which I used for longer than I should have to enable me to transport heavy shopping.
Apparently, the young and the chic are using shopping trolleys now.
I live in a uni town and they seem to be used a lot by our international students. When googling I found that Louis vitton now makes them.
I cannot afford such luxury but wonder if you have any recommendations?
I don't want zany or wacky.
I want functional, unobtrusive but also not ugly.
I would like it to be quite large as well. Initial searches taught me that they come in a variety of sizes.
I wear a lot of warm, Autumn colours, I have seen a black one but I don't really wear a lot of black, it had white wheels so quite jarring and wouldn't coordinate with my wardrobe or outerwear.
I tend towards hippy, natural fabrics, quite like khaki.
If it were to be patterned I could handle leopard print but no floral or dotty or bright patterns.
Tall order but sure someone here will know what to do!

Thank you.

I long for a shopping trolley Grin, well for a life where I need one instead of a car I think. We almost moved to a town recently and I thought my chance had come ..... But in the end I couldn't 'do' town living so we stuck to rural life.

I really like this brand, have only got wash bags from them but they are nicely made.

If you go to the reisenthel webpage there are tons of colours and patterns to choose from.

Will try to link but keep getting logged out on my iPad, frustrating!

Some high street luggage stores sell them. I miss my yellow sun flower one. It was bright and fun and really handy

These are popular where I live (Southern Europe). Everyone uses shopping trolleys, young and old, male and female.

Rolser

No idea if you can buy them in the UK, however.

HappenstanceMarmite · 01/03/2016 09:27

lavendersun those cool trolleys!

AgainstTheGlock · 01/03/2016 15:27

I have this: www.amazon.co.uk/Sabichi-Pug-Shopping-Trolley/dp/B00CRXM4H0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1456845950&sr=8-4&keywords=shopping+trolley light as a feather, insulated so good for frozen stuff. Doesn't carry as much as my mum's 1980's version, but with my physical limitations that's fine. :)

MorrisZapp · 01/03/2016 15:32

Those rolser ones are lovely, can't see prices though? I got a bright trolley from our local hardware shop, it's ace and v practical.

Sweetsweetjane · 01/03/2016 19:36

Thanks so much everybody .

I'm quite taken by the Reisenthel ones as they look least like the ones my mum uses ( I swore I'd never use a shopping trolley, oh how pride goeth....)

morriszapp the Rolser ones average around the sixty quid mark.

a bit pricey, but very sturdy and pretty reisenthel

SmellySourdough · 01/03/2016 19:49

duh, crosspost with a few of you

Sweetsweetjane · 01/03/2016 23:03

Thanks smelly!

I went for this one in the end www.shoppingtrolleysdirect.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=ROLSER-JET-BLUE

If anyone is interested there's a great one on Lakeland site (also on eBay and Amazon) it's the same make! Rolser, and has a 'city scene' on the front, black and white, features cyclists and is on sale at £27.

I was v tempted but am not a big fan of print or patterns on accessories, I want to be able to use it with any outfit, outerwear etc...

The day Mulberry bring out a shopping trolley will be the happiest day of my life. And i mean one of the hardcore four wheelers with a built in seat. One can dream.
