What would you buy?

Something like this big bag

Or this

small bag

Must add that I own them both Grin and another Tusting black saddle leather backpack that is now 20 years old.

I love the workmanship and the quality of the leather. They took the 20 year old one back and repaired it/replaced the zips a few years ago.

I am a sensible sort though, hate bling and logos and thought that they were 'sensible' forever options.

Oh I love that tote!

I would go for the bigger bag simply because you'll get more use out of it having more space. I have the Mulberry Tessie satchel, it's great for a night out but not so great (for me) for daytime use.

DH bought me an oak mulberry somerset hobo for Christmas from an outlet store. I'm not usually bothered by labels, but this is a beaut, and doesn't have any blingy logo on. Love it.

I was thinking about outlets for mulberry. I do like them.

A leather Longchamp bag. Probably a Penelope

Coccinelle and Lamb 1887 also do some lovely leather bags.

And If you don't want to pay full price there are bargains to be found in TK Maxx from time to time. I recently bought a beautiful Abaco in there leather bag for £99. It is still selling online elsewhere at £400

*leather bag in there

bakeoffcake · 01/03/2016 07:52

I have the Longchamp in the nylon material. It is so bloody useful for everything from a smooch round the shops, a day out somewhere, using as cabin luggage and for a night away. I'm very tempted by the leather version.

I have an old model leather Longchamp bag (eBay bargain!) and it still looks like new. It's about ten years old or more. Amazing quality

Kirriemuir · 02/03/2016 17:27

Thank you. Will take a look.
