People who have slim children and trouble finding trousers that fit and that you don't have to pull as tight as the adjustable waist allows, I have found something -
Vertbaudet does Full, Medium and Narrow fit trousers for both boys and girls. My tall, very slim boy finally has a pair that fits like a glove.

Although I've juts had a knee jerk to the elasticated waist, he's not been near elasticated waists since he was a baby as they just fall down :) he's 10 now.

Will still try them though

oh just one thing, a couple of models in this range are pull on with mock buttons only. Fine for a toddler but you probably don't want to get those for a 10 year old. So check that before ordering.

Gap do a slim cut in certain jean styles as well - they are much slimmer cut in the hips/bum/waist that the standard.

Beware, the girls version of those narrow fit trousers are very, very slim!! My skinny DD literally couldn't get them on so we swapped for the jeggings style trousers which are perfect on her. It is nice not to have to rely on an adjustable waist!
