I need a spring shoe. Well two actually!

I've been wearing one pair of boots all winter (just had baby so not really going anywhere, let alone anywhere interesting)

I don't want to wait until summer and go straight into ballet flats but I am stuck for inspiration in the meantime.

It needs to be fairly casual, easy to pull on, cover the whole foot and be hard wearing. Oh and not too expensive of course!

Is this an impossible ask?

Well i'm not sure if this is what you're thinking of but I am also fed up of my black winter boots and have been eyeing up some Stan Smiths in just plain white which i intend to jazz up with some colourful laces!

My feet are feeling the need for something not black and that can go with my weekend attire of slobbing it so these seem to fit the bill!

I also have seen some slip on Vans which are nice and spring-like.

Or perhaps you're looking for leather-proper-shoes, in which case my suggestions are of no help whatsoever!

Shall read on with interest Smile

I don't know what I am thinking of except they need to be comfy etc. But I would be delighted if someone one day told me they liked my new shoes!

Second mention of Stan. Smiths today so I shall Google! with some excitement as I don't get out much

What about Palladium shoes/boots?

www.palladiumboots.com/uk/collections/originals/women

Great colours, casual, hard wearing and comfy. Come up a little narrow so maybe go up half a size (yes, they do half sizes!!)

I also thought of Fly London leather trainer shoes, but they've become pretty darn expensive!

And always check out Clarks online... great styles and comfy....

Ooh thanks another suggestion. I've just come back to say I don't think I can face a trainer. Even though I want a casual shoe.

Do people wear trainers with skinny jeans or, heaven forbid, leggings?

I'll resume my googling with palladium

I like chunky but are they too chunky?

They're a lovely colour. I like chunky too but I can honestly say I don't think palladiums are too chunky 'cos they're actually quite 'neat' looking if you know what I mean!!

Here's a pic of mine... (sans socks!)

Palladiums are very 'in' here, and are def. having amoment - i had some great neon pink ones when i was about 17/18 but not sure i fancy wearing them now, even though they are quite versatile.

I also quite like the Clarkes Desert boots, they have some lighter spring colours in i see on their web site.
