What should i wear to voluntary placement/chat/not interview?

I'm going into my child's school on Thursday and another school to talk to the SEN teachers about a placement for a course I'm doing.
I'm just not sure what to wear. I don't want to be too OTT as it's not really an interview.
I have a smart/casual black jacket I thought i could wear with smart black jeans and a polo neck?

I'd dress as if you were going to work in the school-the top half sounds perfect but I'd wear trousers not jeans.
