What (not too expensive) designer bag would you get?

Wooh, I got a tax rebate and decided I want to buy a nice bag with it. It will be my first designer bag and I cant spend more than £1000 on it (preferably less).

I love the Mulberry Bayswater but it seems so heavy even when its empty. The two I am deliberating between are the LV Damier Ebene Speedy 30 or the LV Damier Ebene or Damier Azur Neverfull. I dont really know any other designer bags I like/could afford.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I think my designers of choice would be McQueen, Anya Hindmarch, Stella Mccartney & Miu Miu.

Why doesn't HMRC ever make a mistake with my tax? boohoo!

Enjoy spending!

That is a good budget, and I personally wouldn't spend that on the LVs or mulberrys,

If you can make it to selfridges or harrods, its worth having a look around their bag department,

Is it for work? Off duty? Both?

And what are your prefernces? Big tote style? Cross body? Shoulder bag?

Thanks for your replies. It isn't for work. More a bag that I could use both for going out in the day as well as the evening (so not too dressy). I don't want cross-body as I find that hurts my shoulders.

I cant decide between a shoulder bag or tote. A lot of bags seem to be more than a grand these days. Blimey!
