I'm looking for a soft (maybe t-shirt material) blazer to wear with jeans & t-shirts. Has anyone seen any decent ones on the high street recently, preferably in grey or navy.

Place marking and bumping. Sorry.

I often feel this is what my outfit needs, but not sure if they're passé.

Miss Selfridge are doing lovely jersey blazers in grey, black, navy, white and peachy nude - should be £40 but were reduced to £30 when I got one last week. They don't look structured - love them for that Hush vibe without the price tag. Obviously if you're willing to pay more, check out Hush. Don't let the idea of Miss Selfridge put you off - yes a lot is for teenagers but they have some gorgeous things for this 43 yr old too!

I have two lovely soft Blazers from Oasis. I got them last year in the sale it they do them every season in different colours. Think they are about £40 new. You can chuck them in the washing machine too. I wear mine with dresses for work & jeans & tshirts at the weekend.

I have a lovely one from Uniqlo last year which I'm sure they will do again, I think it was about £40.

H&M have some in jersey material (definately grey, other colours too)
I tried one on (I'm a 14 in M&S, Sainsburys, Primark)
Couldn't get the 16 to do up Blush

StrawberrytallCake · 19/02/2016 09:29

70sisaLimitNotaTarget I bought size 16 denim shorts from H&M last year and I'm a 10-12. If you google there are loads of forums discussing how off their sizing is.

I don't think they are passé but I do think they need to be styled carefully to avoid the lady Di look - Dd looks great in hers - I look awful in mine and I haven't quite figured out why I look so awful. She wears leggings, DM's and is very skinny.

ICantFindAFreeNickName2 · 19/02/2016 16:31

Wow thanks for all the replies. And for the fact they are all so reasonably priced, I really expected people to suggest far more expensive ones that I cant afford.
I know they might be a bit passé but at weekends I live in jeans and t-shirts and I think they just make me look a bit smarter.
I can only hope to achieve the Lady Di look - I tend to look more like a 50+ short round bag lady !!!

Sorry rubbish link... Go to their homepage and check out the Milano knit blazer in the sale section... a bit different...

fredabear · 19/02/2016 17:09

new look have them in for £20

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/02/2016 18:03

I might try the New Look one on, looks nice (as does the longer length curved hem)

I usually avoid black where possible, but the white looks a bit Miami Vice and though I fancy the pink blazer, I'd want one for now not summer (I don't need extra warmth Blush with the flushes )

UterusUterusGhali · 19/02/2016 23:58

I did try the NL one on and it was pretty nice, but I'd prefer navy or grey.

UterusUterusGhali · 19/02/2016 23:59

Oh they do have blue. Sorry. Blush
I only saw black in store last week.

hollinhurst84 · 20/02/2016 03:12

Matalan has a few on the website, I got a lovely striped one that looks more expensive than the £15 it cost!

jaykay34 · 20/02/2016 20:45

I don't know if you have a Mcarthur Glen outlet near you, but I recently bought a soft navy one from The Gap store there. There was 40% off the outlet price and it worked out about £20.

AryaForQueen · 21/02/2016 12:53

This? from Sainsburys.

Kirriemuir · 21/02/2016 17:24

Joules. I have 2. Navy and grey. They are £75.
