Henna Hair Cream - Help

Woopsiedaisy · 14/02/2016 23:36

Because of a health issue I have not been able to have my hair professionally coloured since September (not able to lean back into bowl). It is looking dreadful with more and more grey showing at the roots etc.

My friend in France has suggested Henna Hair Cream, which I could apply myself and simply shower off afterwards. However she doesn't know if it is available here.

Does anyone have experience of using Henna cream?

If so would you be able to advise me re makes, accuracy of colour matching, how to use etc. etc.

I use suraya Brazil cream from amazon. I have very dark greying hair and use the red and leave on for an hour. Leaves hair dark with shiny dark red through it which people say looks lovely. Am allergic to hair dyes so this has been amazing. Needs redone about every month but is easy.

Thanks Fanjo

Have you ever used the dark brown? I am wondering just how dark it is?

i haven't but there are lots of reviews on Amazon.

I use suraya too, eBay has the best price.

I use chocolate brown, it still comes out a bit too dark for me but I can't use normal brown hair dye so this is the best alternative.

I find wrapping hair in cling film and leaving for three hours then covers all greys. If you have no grey probably an hour and a half will be fine.

I find they are all darker than expected so go for one a bit lighter than you want to start with.

Thank you both. I have ordered a dark brown and will see how it goes !!
