Please tell me exactly what your morning skincare routine is - from cleansing to moisturising to make up. Every. Single. Step. think it is possible I am a lazy slattern

I have ditched all expensive potions and lotions and now simply use coconut oil and hot water! A good scrub with with a hot face cloth with a blob of oil on it, rinse off and a rub again with the oil. Beautiful skin and cheap to boot with no toxicity at all. Keep it simple and drink lots of water is my tip!

Wash with face wash (currently lush), use toner, then serum, then moisturiser. Let moisturiser sink in while cleaning teeth, then make up (currently just loose powder and mascara)

I'm a lazy cow in the morning! I wash my face in the shower with a foaming cleanser then give it a quick wipe with a toner pad, serum then moisturiser. Makeup takes a bit longer; foundation applied with a beauty blender, concealer, corn starch powder, bronzer, contour, blush, highlighter, eyebrows get filled in, loads of mascara and lipstick and set with fixing spray.

I take a bit more care at night and cleanser thoroughly.

^ corn silk not starch!

I use Liz Earle's hot cloth in the shower each morning, PIxi glow tonic then Espa serum in place of moisturiser. Let that sink in, Clinique spf and then primer and makeup.

I used to exfoliate every morning with a scrub but since discovering Mrs Gloss I've stopped and begun using Pixi and my skin has never been in better condition.

Baby wipes at night. Water from shower in morning. Nothing else. And I'm often told my skin looks 5 years younger. I don't moisturise or use any of the toners or other stuff.

HermioneWeasley · 14/02/2016 21:27

Splash face with cold water. Dry it. Apply primer. If I'm going to work I use mineral foundation, bronzer, loose powder, mascara and draw on my eyebrows.

Ellisander · 14/02/2016 21:38

Hot water and a gentle scrub with a facecloth. Sometimes serum, then a tiny bit of moisturiser (Liz Earle) on my cheeks, forehead and neck (not nose / chin or they get greasy). Then I let the moisturised sink in while I do my teeth / hair. I don't much bother with makeup at weekends (although I dye my lashes / brows), but if I'm going somewhere special, and on work days, I use foundation (nose / chin mainly), blusher, mascara (with an eyelash curler) and a tiny bit of kohl eyeliner, and brow pencil if I'm between dyes.

I do have a fairly protracted skincare routine in the evening though, involving double cleansing, a clarosonic, various lotions and potions.

Morning routine is shorter than evening cleanse
Cleanse, tone, moisturise
Primer, foundation, concealer, powder, highlight, blush
Eye primer, eyeshadows, gel liner, mascara, eyebrow pencil

Shesinfashion · 14/02/2016 23:17

Splash of cold water then a facial wipe. Despite being in my 40's I have quite greasy skin so never use moisturiser. At night I use a facial scrub then eye cream. I have hardly any wrinkles at get told I look 10 years younger.

madwomanbackintheattic · 14/02/2016 23:18

Shower. (Just water on face)
Moisturise.
Eye cream.
Go to work.

MotherBluestocking · 14/02/2016 23:18

Cleanse with a wash-off or an oil if I fancy a bit more TLC. Occasionally an exfoliating scrub (say once a week). Some kind of toner or hydrating spritz. Hydrating serum or acid treatment. Neck cream. Moisturiser. Eye cream. Then make-up: varies tremendously depending on what the day holds - anything from nothing (school run) to the full works, starting with primer (meeting/presentation).

RedOnHerHedd · 14/02/2016 23:25

Uhhhh.....
If I have eye makeup on from the day before I wash with a hot flannel and I use pears oil-free soap - the teal coloured one. If there's no eye makeup, just a hot flannel, and dry with a towel. Then makeup for me consists of just eye liner and mascara. No foundation or anything else on my skin. I don't use any cleansers, toners or moisturisers and I have really really good skin. I'm 35 this year and get asked for ID quite a lot still.

PedantPending · 14/02/2016 23:55

Clarisonic with Clarins foaming face wash in the shower.
Tone with Clarins chamomile toning lotion.
Rexaline eye cream, facial serum, Clarins neck cream. Rexaline face cream.
Either Clarins primer or Bare minerals primer, usually no make up or Clarins BB cream, maybe some mascara and a Clinique chunky crayon lipstick.
Any make up is removed in the evening with Rexaline micellar cleanser followed by Guerlain's Midnight Secret cream.
