What winter footwear with Harem Trousers??

I have invested in several pairs of these harem pants after finally accepting the fact I can no longer wear jeans/skinny jeans/trousers with a zip down the front because of multiple incisional hernia ops on my c-section scar, plus muscle and nerve damage and three shiny new hernias waiting to be operated on ....meaning I will live in this style for the next year at least.

So, I have black, pale grey, navy/red print, black/grey animal print and a rather more jazzy pair with muted jungle leaves and birds. I am 5"1, size 14, and can't wear a heel over 1 inch. I can't decide which type of boots to wear...nothing looks quite right. It'll be fine when the weather warms up and I can wear flip flops or ballet flats - any ideas until then???

I have purple Converse, leather Converse style , Uggs in bright blue, tan, burgandy and black, white trainers, black biker boots, red biker bootsDoc Martens in purple , and Doc Martens in oxblood

5ft 3 and a 14 here, also can't wear heels. I tend to wear my converse with my harem pants. My friend wears flat ankle boots with hers - I'm not keen though. Another friend wears pumps which looks good (but I'd get too cold).

Can you wear wedge boots? I wear wedge Ash boots with harem pants

Converse look good with everything i reckon. Thats what i'd wear.

Converse or rocket dog type canvas boots to keep your ankles warm? That's what I generally wear in the colder months with harems. Flat sandles in the summer or wedges if I can be bothered.

I wear Blundstone boots with mine - sandals look good, not sure about Dr M's....which I like but prefer with jeans.

Ash trainers are pretty much standard uniform where I live.

I can't wear wedges, but those Ash ones look gorgeous :) I've got high tops similar to the Ash ones, so will try those.....and my Converse high tops, I might have to invest in some more Converse in a colour that co-ordinates better -the purple ones I have are very summery!

I wore flat, chunky-ish boots with mine today only to have dh tell me I looked slightly bonkers! Actually I don't care, I love my harem pants!

another vote for the ash virgins here - wear mine with harems and they keep ankles warm. agree that 'proper' shoes/boots with harems look a bit weird...
