A TV detective overcoat for DH

there are two I can think of - him with the cheekbones who has a long navy number, and him from The Wire who sports a red tie with his grey one. Not saying the names in case this thread pops up during H's obsessive googling Wink

His birthday is coming up and he'd love an overcoat, a grey one particularly but any shade of navy would also be of interest. DH doesn't do fashion so this is one of the first things he's expressed interest in himself.

He's 6'1 or 2, very lean and handsome so he should be able to carry the look.

Anyone's partner or friend got a nice overcoat?

I mean the second guy is famous from The Wire but it's his current show that he wears the coat in.

Do you have any photos of the kind of thing you are after? Your descriptions are a bit vague for googling. Also, what kind of fabric are you thinking of? Length?

Like this? www.belstaff.co.uk/men/outerwear/jackets/milford-coat-black%2Fcharcoal/71010093C77N0130-Black%2FCharcoal.html#start=1 (Think this is the make of Cheekbone's one and it's ££££ obviously)

Do you mean that style?

Wagglebees · 14/02/2016 14:10

^oh. Yes it does say it's the exact one in the description. Blush

Or did you mean the lovely IE?

Let's face it, I'm just using this thread as an excuse to google handsome men in wool coats.

Yes right on both counts. Wow, well done for finding Cheekbones's coat--it's amazing but far too ££££. IE's is the only that H really fancies, think it may be Paul Smith.

So along those lines. Very preferably wool for sure. But just wondering if there is anything for slightly less insane money out there.

I love IE's coat in that show. Was seriously obsessed with it. Gutted when it got chucked in the river, what an outrage Shock

No idea where you can get one, though, sorry!

I love those style of coats. I think there's a lot of them around during the Autumn/Winter season. If he could hang on until then he'd have a wider choice but places that do suits should sell them all year round.

Oh no I don't think it is actually. Sorry. Although I bet Banana Republic have loads in come September.
