Swim suits then - what am I looking for?

The time has come to buy a new swimsuit as we are planning more family swimming.

I've mostly worn one now very tatty red one for the last 5 years but more often bikinis as I have mostly been pregnant and most often swam outdoors overseas.

Figurewise I'm heading down to size 14, weight mostly on tum and boobs (3mo ebf)

Any suggestions of shapes, style or where to buy?

Depends what you want really - personally, I rock the cheap as chips, keeps everything nicely covered boyleg swimming costumes from Sports Direct. They are not a thing of great beauty, but you can splash around in shallow water with little ones without showing your lady garden, and without them pulling the neckline down. I swim several times a week, and mine last well, and you see a lot of the serious swimmers wearing them too as they are so practical

Compare online and perhaps consider a bra sized suit with tummy control. I see lots of new swimwear on the usual suspects:

I just bought this tropical suit by Pour Moi in 34G. I generally steer clear of halternecks as the pressure on my neck is too great, but the concealed bra does a lot of the work on this one. Will see how I feel after a whole day in it though...

I'm not very fussy but I hate that one cmot! Too practical!

I am toying with a bra sized one but am losing weight fairly rapidly and am worried it won't stand up to that. Halterneck looks good but I have the neck issues too.

Speedo are worth a look. Had some good designs last year. Perhaps they sell direct as I don't see many on my favourite beach stores.
If you want a plain red one again this has tummy control on sale for about £30, also by Pour Moi. I like thst it's no nonsense, put it on, swim and forget about it.

Bought swimwear from boden earlier this week. Very happy with it- have only tried it on, haven't actually worn it near water yet. Was happily thinking ahead to summer holidays when looking out at rain earlier this week!
Got the wrap font swimsuit and Seychelles bikini top with mix match bikini bottoms and rash vest to throw over it if needed-burn very easily so thought it might be useful.
Very happy with swimsuit- normally wear bikini. It's very flattering on, nice cut. Was about fifty quid I think?

I need a new swimsuit to and whilst looking came across the brand Lascana. They have some lovely designs, just need to choose which one I'm going to order here

I feel your pain. I am looking for a plain coloured, non control (makes me look like a sausage), halter neck swimsuit that isn't cut to the navel and which has decent cup coverage. I have just packed up swimsuit no. 8 to send back (control panel which wasn't described. I am a size 12, it shouldn't be that hard.

Seems it's impossible, so I had to wear my faded falling apart one this morning.

I cut the cups out of one and sewed an old non padded bra into it by hand. Was a faff but hopefully will last a while and means I have a very supportive swimsuit without paying bravissimo prices!

Looks good poo or do you prefer champion .

I've just realised they're limited on sizes so hope they have what you're after.
