Essentially, I am too lazy to trawl through the longest perfume threads in the world on here and would Love to know that there are some exciting new head turning perfumes out there or on their way.

I'd like to know this, too.
I'm keeping an eye out for the Prada carnation perfume - haven't seen it in a shop yet - but there again, I haven't been to any of the Big Shops.

Serge Lutens has a new one due but it's one of the 'Eau' ones.

I'm hoping there's going to be some big surprise that shakes things up a bit...

Surely it only needs to be new and amazing for you? Have I missed the point

*? Blush

In a department store on the weekend I was wafted with Jimmy Choo Illicit, 'twas absolutely lovely and now dropping bomb size hints to DH for Valentines Day (but will most certainly not hold my breathe!) Grin

I've stopped wearing 'shop' perfumes and now use Al Rehab fragrance oils. They are a million times better than any perfume I've ever worn.

Cressetmama, I think she's just interested in what's due for release/new fragrance trends.
I completely get that: it's a bit like looking forward to Christmas, or the new release from your favourite band.Smile
I love smelling all the new releases. I also get absurdly excited about trends. I think one of my favourites was rhubarb notes in perfume a few years back.
I'm hoping this year will be more mainstream incense and carnation. Though I suspect it will just keep on with fruit and gourmands.Grin

I'min gong for a return to green chypres - I doubt it will happen because of all the restrictions.
But I can dream.
I think it's my age but nothing smells like unreachable, glamorous adulthood (to me) like a complex green chypre.

I absolutely love the Dolce & Gabbana - Dolce perfume.

Chicinwellies · 10/02/2016 13:27

thecatfromjapan yes, thats it, just inquisitive really, and keen to hear what other people love. Its also lovely to look forward to the new releases, Im a marketing victim by self admission, and many a time was convinced a new waft would transform me to looking like Gisele, or ms Portman, neither of which has happened. But I do get lots of nice comments on how I smell. When Im not with the horses, or dogs.

I have fallen head over heels with these 2 - I am saving up for proper size bottles now the samples re nearly over (not strictly 2016 - more late 2015):

Ooh they sound lovely. Lovelyfriend where did you get your samples from?

directly from her website:

Atelier Cologne also do a lovely sample pack - samples of 24 different scents which is worth getting. There weren't any I disliked, and some I loved, though they are very expensive perfumes so I'm not sure I would be buying full bottles (the one I like the most was €250). I don't know if any are new but certainly theyw ere new to me.
