I did, back in Jan 07. It was brilliant, my hair looked salon perfect from the moment I stepped out of the shower. As it grew, it still worked, because i had lots of body at the top, and perfectly straight hair otherwise.
In oct 07 I had a repeat. It completely fried my hair, It would snap and i had short bits. Horrible. Never again.
Also, you cant do it on bleached hair, or lighten hair that has had the treatment.

I do dye my hair red. So, does it fry hair that's already been dyed?

I waas told its ok if the hair has been darkened, but not if it has been lightened. So I guess it depends on how you make it red. Do you strip it of colour first? if so, then its a no no I think.

I want to stress, that the first time I did it, I totally loved it. Just the second was too soon I think.

I used to have it done once a year a few years ago and it was amazing ... Even with the fresh roots it didn't look too bad as I could just straighten those bits a little when they got long. Colour wise it would always strip my hair back to its natural colour but I only used semi permanents anyway and I could redo it a couple of weeks later. Never had any issue with hair condition, in fact it always left it in better condition than before. But I never did it more than once a year. Went to a fab place in Covent Garden if you want a recommendation.

No, I don't strip my hair. I dye it myself with a permanent packet dye. My usual salon does the treatment and was wondering whether to give it a go. Thanks all.
