Facial Soap

Can anyone recommend a good facial soap. Has to be a bar of soap rather than liquid so that I can stick it in a small travel box.

I am low maintenance, currently use a hot flannel and some moisturiser twice a day. My skin is naturally lovely, just blessed with good skin I suppose. Tends towards being sensitive - would be dry if I used anything too harsh.

I rarely wear make up - once or twice a month when I go into work, tinted moisturiser, eyeshadow, mascara and sheer lipstick.

I think I would like to try some sort of facial soap - have a soap club subscription to here.

I will ask them to send me a bar of Innocent next month to see if that works but otherwise looking for a simple facial soap bar.

L'Occitane

They do a face soap (its round, can't remember the name) and Shea Butter (the Milk Shea is lovely , very mild)

Of course you'll get told you shouldn't use soap, acid mantle on your skin.....

I like the body shop olive skin

I've recently returned to using Clinique's cleansing bar as I had some left in a drawer - the paler coloured one, primrose yellow. It comes in a travel size with a travel case too, or at least it used to. I'm using up old stock before buying anything new (see the no spend 2016 thread!). I have quite dry skin and it's been great, can't remember why I ever stopped using it.

Thank you. I have got some L'occitane Shea butter soap (from my advent calendar). I did used to use the Clinique soap in my 20s (nearly 50) and had forgotten about that so I could try that again.

The Mull soaps are huge 130g bars, for £3.75. I hope their Innocent (with Shea butter) works! Seems silly to buy 80g of facial soap for £12.

Clearly I am tight!

Dudu Osun black soap from Amarya. I use it every night. Lovely.

Thanks - I don't use ordinary soap as I find it very drying which is why I subscribe to the handmade soap club on Mull so I don't think dove/pears is for me as I wouldn't use it on my body so definitely not on my face.

Definitely nothing fragranced.

I think I will try the 'innocent' bar first, maybe L'occitane's milk shea butter as that is the gentlest small soap that came in my advent calendar. If those don't work, the Clinique one.

A friend made me some olive oil soap at Christmas, maybe that might work.

Then I wonder why I am trying to change it really as a hot flannel works, even with my non waterproof mascara twice a month!
