Does this type of sleepwear exist?

Not any shade of pink, not cartoons, not leopard print, not twee pattern, not uber sexy, not looking like it's designed for a 6 year old, not a onsie...

I have spotted the odd lovely cotton/silk things that are simple navy/grey etc but seems you have to pay mega bucks for something basic.

Any ideas? Happy to pay £30 per nightdress/pj set and need both summer and winter wear.

I like these tops but so hard to find cotton bottoms to go with them.

SesameSparkle · 30/01/2016 22:06

Both uniqlo or fat face stock lots of vests and pj pants all year round, and there's usually plenty of cotton. And fat face has a sale every couple of months to keep things on budget.

You need to start looking in the men's sleepwear sections. All my PJs are from Sainsburys and for men. Lovely subtle colours, no teddy bears in sight and 100% cotton.

Like ither people on this thread, I tend to wear day clothes at night on my top half, I wear 100% cotton t shirts from Gap with either long or short sleeves depending on the weather. On my bottom half I wear any loose pyjama bottoms with natural fibres, I got some lovely 100% silk pyjamas in tk Maxx for a tenner last week, worth looking in there? Pattern was a bit 1990s curtain but I'm only looking for comfort and natural fibres when I sleep...

Tesco had something lovely, pjs with clouds on after Christmas, not sure of the fabric though. Was a lovely, simple, design.

Methenyouplus4 · 30/01/2016 22:21

Thank you. Like the Boden and M&S top and they're a bargain but it's not love. Like the bottoms but after something a little plainer.

I have looked in Fatface but they were very heavily printed and quite bright, but perhaps because when I looked it was around Christmas when everything tends to be a little louder.

Now off to look at uniqlo...

Thank you for tip on men's section, I'm 5ft 9 so that's a great idea!

I always look in TK Maxx but never seem to have my size (10/12). All the lovely nightwear has been teeny tiny or somethingyou could camp out in with the kids.

I have those Boden bottoms with the most incredibly warm and cosy fitted long sleeved plain white pj top from British thermals. The M&S modal type ones looked pretty but just weren't keeping me warm. This is fabulously cosy but very plain and simple.

I've never liked sleep wear sold as such. I've big boobs and like a bit of support. So flimsy nighties and tshirt types tops feel horrible.

I wear the long vests from
Primark (I know!) - cover bum, thick comfy straps and lightly support in the boobs. Comfy.

They also sell a good range of cotton pj bottoms to go with.

I have one cotton stretch nightie, again from primark, supports my boobs. It was for sale as beachwear- dress. I wish I had bought many more.

This is all I buy from primark. Grin

Fat face have great, cotton sleepwear.

Shockers · 30/01/2016 22:33

Sorry... you've already been there.

I've only ever had woven, checked trousers and plain tops from there.

I've had a couple of soft sleep vests from Laura Ashley too (already had M&S checked bottoms)

Methenyouplus4 · 30/01/2016 22:33

Lovely - I have the opposite issue, teeny boobs but don't want to low cut/sexy for when our eldest son has his friends over- don't want to give the poor kids nightmares! That said, not ready for a onsie with a slanket yet either!

Ah sorry, I hadn't looked at the labels and going by touch I had assumed it was a nice thin cotton jersey
