www.asos.com/Carvela/Carvela-Ariel-Black-Platform-Court-Shoes/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=5456015

I have ordered them, because:

a. I think they are fab
b. They were £29 reduced from £110
c. err..can't think of any other reason.

I shall most probably try them on, love them but realise I can't walk in them and send them back again.

Ooh I looooooove them :) And Carvela/Kirt Geiger in general. They'll not be too bad to walk in because of the platform and the thick heel. I have some almost exactly the same, but New Look so not as nice, and they're my go-to gig shoe as they're so easy to walk in so less chance of falling over on stage Grin

FuckedUpFanjo · 29/01/2016 18:23

Also they're £77 now!!!! Are you an unusual size that they wanted to shift?

BendydickCuminsnatch · 29/01/2016 18:23

NC fail! Darn it.

BikeRunSki · 29/01/2016 18:23

They're £77 now, you got a bargain!

LentilStew · 29/01/2016 18:26

Blimey! If you love them, buy them!

I may have worn them 20+yrs ago but not now. So if you're young they'll look great. I used to find Carvella/KG shoes really stiff to walk in though.

DavetheCat2001 · 29/01/2016 18:41

I'm not young at all..I'm nearly 43! Grin

I actually got them for £29 from Selfridges!

www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/carvela-ariel-platform-courts_854-10004-6135200799/?previewAttribute=Black

They still have them if you are interested!

OP posts:
BendydickCuminsnatch · 29/01/2016 18:52

OMG I might get them. I rarely have any occasion to wear heels these days though...

DavetheCat2001 · 29/01/2016 19:12

Me neither Bendy!!!

DO IT!!!

(you can always send them back if they are really uncomfortable)

GiddyGiddyGoat · 29/01/2016 19:15

Bloody hell they are fugly!

GingerNutRiskIt · 29/01/2016 19:22

They're gorgeous! Doubt I could walk in them though!

Greengardenpixie · 29/01/2016 22:00

OMG they are sooooo high. If you can walk in them and love them why not? Personally i think they are ugly.

burnishedsilver · 29/01/2016 22:26

Oh wow. They're real ankle breakers.

ScarlettDarling · 30/01/2016 08:11

I hate them but then I'm 5'11" and if I wore them I'd look like a drag queen.

DavetheCat2001 · 01/02/2016 20:14

..and here they are!

I love them..I think they are fabulous and I envisage me posing on a red carpet in them at a glittering film premiere Grin

Back in the real world, they are true ankle breakers, and I'd probably end up in A&E, not v glam, so they are going back, but I just had to try them on Smile

I also have these, which by comparison are super comfy!

One pair of daft platform shoes is enough methinks Wink

What size did you order (Angry size 5 is out of stock!)

DragonsCanHop · 01/02/2016 20:31

They look better on than in the first picture.

DavetheCat2001 · 01/02/2016 20:44

I got size 6.

They really are incredibly high as the platform is huge.

OP posts:
SewButtons · 01/02/2016 20:55

You should definitely keep them.
I bought these
www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/carvela-alfred-block-heeled-lace-up-shoes_854-10004-6175454109/?previewAttribute=Wine for the same reasons that you bought yours.
I am keeping mine on the basis of they look sensible therefore they must be,even if my shins hurt just standing in them.

CakeNinja · 01/02/2016 21:08

I generally love KG shoes but thought they looked horrible in the picture. Very clunky and as a pp brought up, likely to be worn by a man in drag!
However, they look really lovely on your feet, not manly at all, and I find KGs really comfortable :)
Enjoy your new shoes Wine

DavetheCat2001 · 01/02/2016 21:28

Thanks CakeNinja but sadly they are going back.

I'd never wear them as they are just too high to walk in.

I must have missed the drag queen jibe! Grin I thought they may look like lap dancer shoes, but actually they are nice and would looked I think with skinny jeans.

How girls walk in shoes that high, let alone dance in them beats me!

OP posts:
CakeNinja · 01/02/2016 21:37

Noooo Shock
Gutted, I love them! I actually find platforms really comfortable although don't have any as high as this to avoid the teetering that so many girls adopt!
And I tend to get cabs door to door everywhere on nights out so walking is kept to a minimum.
Ah well, at least you have the lovely photos!

DavetheCat2001 · 01/02/2016 21:38

In other news, I ordered a pair of these too from 7 for All Mankind

www.7forallmankind.co.uk/en_en/knee-seam-skinny-crackle-leather-black.html

Again, either going to be fabulous or Rod Stewart. I got them for £85 which is still pricey, but I have been after a pair of rock and roll trousers for a while, and liked the look of these.

PoppieD · 01/02/2016 22:17

DavetheCat2001 · 01/02/2016 22:46
