Does anyone else prefer non-wired bras?

I have never liked under wired bras, have always found them too hard & uncomfortable around the top,of my ribs.

I've still worn them as they give the best lift & shape but now I'm thinking are there non-wired decent options out there as I just want to be comfortable (must be getting old!).

Does anyone else prefer non-wired & if so could recommend a make?

I gave up on underwires all together a few months ago for much the same reason as you. I bought a whole load of new ones at h&m and couldn't go back. My only issues are that I used to wear t shirt bras which hid my nipples when it was chilly and the fabric ones seem to have more seams but as it's been winter I've had layers on and don't know how much of an issue this will be in the summer. I've also not found a nude one, I have a pale pink which is doing for under whites just now but, again, for the summer, I need a decent nude.

I'm only a 28d/30c though so don't need much support, don't know how well they'd work for bigger cup sizes.

Yoga bras (with the removable padded inserts in the cups) give good shape and coverage on smaller busts and are usually really comfortable.

I hate underwired bras now. I find i wear them during the day and change into a sports bra when i come home. I find that i dont feel them uncomfortable at work but when i come home strangely find them annoying me. I would love a fully supportive non wired one but does such a thing exist? Especially if you are like me and an 32E/EE or F depending upon the bra!!!!

At the moment yes definitely am pregnant with expanding bust and rib age!

I hate underwires but have always found that non wired give them a bizarre shape. Pointy and flat on top. I'm a GG. I'd love to find a non wired bra that gives me an alright shape and support.

I think with non-underwired bras the trick is to get a lightly padded cup set in a band that's deep enough around the ribcage. Narrow bands don't give enough stability and can pull cups in the wrong direction.

Narrow bands also have to be extra tight so that they don't slide about too much - personally I can't stand having anything tight around my ribs, it makes me feel sick.

Hmm my link doesn't seem to be working properly. If you click on the 'sports bras' bit of that site you can see examples of the bandeau style I'm talking about with removable padded cups.
