We have a next in town and a debenhams. It's only just been arranged. Holy shot balls. I'm a funny shaped 16 with a mam belly and I'm 23 so don't want anything too old. Any ideas? Can't get away with cigarette pants etc

Eek! It has to be something you are comfy in so you don't want to be hoiking stuff up or down. What do you prefer - trousers or skirts/dresses? The last interview I had I wore black plain trousers (normal cut as can't wear skinny), a silk black top and cardigan (it was summer). I also do interviews and as long as people have clean clothes I honestly don't notice too much what they are wearing. Good luck!

Fitted stretch dress like the next "navy stripe dress", navy opaque tights, neat cardigan cream or pale grey, simple but chunky silver necklace, lipstick?

Silverpinkswirls · 27/01/2016 11:47

Black trousers/ black skirt, black shoes and a shirt/blouse (not white). Cardigan or jacket.

Make up you must wear simple makeup.

What have you got to start with & how formal the job?

RavioliOnToast · 27/01/2016 11:53

I'm not into any of my pre pregnancy smart clothes. It's for a fairly new business- it's an admin type role but can be meeting with potential clients. I thought maybe black court shoes and tights and some form of knee length dress. Like a shift dress or similar. Where do you all recommend d rights from? Cxxx

Fucks sake I've got about an hour! Will feel massively uncomfortable in trousers but don't mind skirts

Go to Next and get a plain pencil skirt, top and smart dark cardigan, or a dress. I've always worn cardigans to interviews and as long as they are new and not bobbly they look fine with a smart dress or skirt. New dark tights too.

Good luck!

Pencil skirt? This was my interview outfit yesterday - I also have a bit of a Mam belly and the skirt really sucks me in!! Good luck!

Right, i ended up buying this

and these

and some thick back tights and it looks really nice - the dress looks so much better than it does online, it look fairly informal online but its really nice. BUT - my interview has now been rescheduled until tomorrow...

I think that looks great Ravioli.

Bloody typical that it's rescheduled after all that dashing around!

Good luck for tomorrow. You'll look fab. Flowers
