Quick Question - M&S jeans - true to size?

About to click buy..
I have Next Legging Jeans in dark denim colour and black, both in size 10. The dark denim are too big (can pull them down without unbuttoning!) so should I go size 8 in M&S?

I don't think anything in M and S is true to size - very random and inconsistent sizing amongst their own products. Probably a few things are true to size based on pure random chance.
