Find me a workbag!

I had the same work bag for 8 years now - a large Radley bag and I've realized it's time for a change but I don't really know what I want.

What I currently have is a large Radley bag from the era when we all lugged laptops around all the time. The bag weighs a ton and encourages me to put far too much stuff in it - when I have clear outs it mystifies my why I'm carrying around so much paper. And I never did carry a laptop around in it anyway - tried it once and my shoulder nearly fell off Shock

What I'm looking for is a much smaller bag that I can still put A4 paperwork but a lot less to deter me from carrying around a small forest Grin

It's a professional workplace but not the sort of place where people will notice my designer handbag and I'll spend a lot of time visiting people's homes and in my car as well as being in my office.

Help me, handbag experts, what do I want?

I just bought a Fossil Emerson satchel as a baby bag/work bag as I'm sick of lugging my Storksak around.
It arrived yesterday in black/brown I must say it is gorgeous.

Something from CutMakeTrim?

Someone on here a few weeks ago was interested in the barrel bag and others came on to say that the quality was great. Fantastic range of colours, shapes and sizes.

Oooh the choices, I knew this was the right place to come Smile

The Fossil Emerson is a) more than the budget I hadn't really thought about and b) absolutely gorgeous. I also like that it looks a bit more casual, not labelly and quite classic so could use it for years and years. Very tempted.

Loving the CutMakeTrim Loretta but can see I can fit everything and the kitchen sink in it. I would treat it badly Sad

Wolper you and I are heading in opposite directions - I'm looking for a bigger bag. I think it's the OCD side of me but I like a bag with two separate sections, one for my stuff, one for work stuff. So no one has to see my lipstick collection while I look for my laptop charger.... I'm looking at an enormous beast at the moment, but I like the look of your smaller options !
