Best skinny jeans for inverted triangle

After reading the 'expensive' thread, I am determined this year to find some jeans that fit me properly. Constantly having to hoik them up is NOT a good look!

I am size 12, 5'3" with broader shoulders than hips and skinny legs. I am looking for well fitting skinny jeans in a dark indigo colour.

Over the years I've tried: Dorothy Perkins (ok for a while but start falling down), Jack Wills (lovely quality but slip down) and Top Shop Joni (now these are ok on the non falling down front but I'm not particularly keen on them and no front pockets. Waist is almost TOO high).

Any suggestions please?

Okay, so not particularly expensive but Tesco jeans fit me like a dream...i try and choose the plainest ones and replace the button to something plainer.

miss selfridge jeans seem to last for a long time, and the colour doesn't fade. or the Monki brand on Asos is quite nice too.

I too have read the expensive thread and am determined to have perfectly fitting clothes Blush

I love topshop Jamie! I have a narrow waist and have them in every a few colours. They are high rise but with pockets, never fall down and wash well.

Dancergirl · 14/01/2016 13:53

Don't Top Shop Jamie have rips in them?

I love Gap true skinny jeans - if you can get to an outlet they are pretty cheap

Dancergirl · 14/01/2016 14:01

Do they stay up saggy?

I wear a belt, but I don't really have hips, just a mummy-tummy :-(

RoganJosh · 14/01/2016 14:15

Tell me more about why they fall down. Eg to get them to fit X bit of you they are too big on Y.

Are your hips very narrow compared to your waist?

RoganJosh · 14/01/2016 14:15

And so what happens if you go for a size smaller of the ones that fall down?

Dancergirl · 14/01/2016 14:18

Are your hips very narrow compared to your waist?

Yes! If I go for a smaller size they are tight on the waist.

No not all the Jamie jeans have rips...

These are nice...

I do tend to find most jeans with some 'stretch' give after a few wears, so do tend to buy the slightly snug size...

RoganJosh · 14/01/2016 14:44

That makes sense. My friend has a shape like this and gets on best with pretty low waisted ones so she can wear them pretty tight.
