What to wear with a bright red skirt for work right now?

I have this skirt in bright red. Other than boring black, what can I wear with it for work? Looking for tops / cardigan and footwear ideas.

It's a snug (but still okay) fit at the moment and my tummy is my worst bit. Boobs and lower legs my best bits! But I don't want to freeze and I have to commute by train.

I do sometimes wear navy tights with red shoes (flats and not Mary Janes though). Need to rummage to see if I still have a navy cardigan and on the shade of red for the shoes.....

Feet depends on your height and length of skirt. It looks below knee from pic so if say heeled tbar shoes maybe or black knee height boots again with a heel. Possibly ballet pump style shoes. Avoid the strappy flats around at the moment for risk of looking like an Irish dancer!

Leopard print or zebra print-i love animal print teamed with red! But then I adore animal print!!!!

Ahh thank you! turdfairynomore, you reminded me I have a pair of zebra striped kitten heels with a red trim. If the red works that could just work - maybe even with a "boring" black top....

A 'red' trim even.

Pink and white are both out for me, and black isn't ideal (I'm a deep blue autumn). Navy and grey are good. Might also try purple. Actually realising that it might be the footwear that's my real problem.
