Sorry about awful link!

Just about every shop has a version of this at the moment from £30-£300+. Would love help looking for one that fits the following criteria:

  • warm
-waterproof -has hood (not bothered if it has fur trim or not) -dark colour -ends below the bum -ideally would have belt/toggles to cinch waist -ideally no more than £100

Thank you!

Next has one with a fold away hood

Look on the Landsend website. They are better quality than your average High street finds

Pinkvici22 · 12/01/2016 18:46

I got a lovely black one from
Oasis in the sale £77...my criteria and budget was almost identical to yours!

Pinkvici22 · 12/01/2016 18:48

Don't know how to do a link!

Beware - some of them will fill your hair with static!

Pink- is that one waterproof? Doesn't say anything about that in description.

Landsend site look good, certainly warm and weatherproof but couldn't quite spot one I liked the look of.

Have you looked at Uniqlo?

Pinkvici22 · 12/01/2016 22:34

Hmm I don't know if it's officially waterproof but I endured school run in it today and got drenched and was still warm and cosy when I got home!!

Methenyouplus4 · 12/01/2016 22:38

Cones-No (off to look now...)

Pink- would be scared to purchase then realise it wouldn't withstand the lengthy Sunday mornings in the rain it will have to endure.

Try fat face, they've got a nice one reduced from £100 to £55, it's got food reviews.

Dancergirl · 12/01/2016 23:40

GOOD

Methenyouplus4 · 13/01/2016 12:50

Spotted two at Fatface but both finish just below the waist. Ideally want mid thigh.

Opted for this in black. Not sure how waterproof it will be, if at all? Thinking I could get on of those sprats that make something waterproof?

Having done extensive research into this over the years, I think you will find that any waterproof coat will state that it's waterproof. If the product info does not mention rain or water, its definitely not going to be waterproof. To get a fully waterproof coat you'll need to look at 'outdoor' shops / brands such as northface, berghaus etc etc (Blacks / Millets / Cotswold outdoor etc). All high street shop parkas will not be waterproof. I recently bought a coat from the Didrikson brand. 100% waterproof and windproof and very very warm (I'm a rugby and football mum so spend every weekend standing in the freezing cold and wet!). Mine was about £180 and is worth every penny!
