Skincare experts: could you help me?

I am a bit clueless.

I'm nearly 43 and so far I've managed to get away with pretty much no skin care routine. My skin is OK, but there's no way it'll stay that way unless I take a bit more care.

Current routine hahaha is:

Mornings
Quick scrub with Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser.
Splash with cold water, pat dry
Spritz with cheap toner
Moisturiser - currently Cien (Lidl!) Anti-wrinkle cream

Evenings
Nothing (I rarely wear make up)

I don't really have many wrinkles but I have noticed a few discolouration spots here and there. Oh, and I have terrible dark circles under my eyes (always have had).

What do I need? I am prepared to spend a bit, but I really don't know what to spend on.

Would appreciate your advice ladies.

Google Caroline Hiron as she is an expert in skin care and invest in something like NIOD serumbrella which will really help kick start your regime
