Urban decay naked palettes?

I'll be the first to admit that I'm a bit of a makeup addict, and I'm currently having my head turned by these. Are they worth having? Which ones are best? Can you do natural and smokey eyes from just the one palette?

I have 1&2 and use 2 the most although recently gone back to using 1 more often. Out of the two I'd choose 2 as I think it's slightly cooler which suits my skin tone better.

My friend has 3 and it looks gorgeous. Much warmer and a lot of rose gold shades. Pinker I suppose. If you're warmer then I'd go for that one.

Dick Oooooo don't tell me that...

InQuiteAChristmasPickle · 09/01/2016 19:00

I love mine. I asked for it from DH for Christmas because my head had been turned by it for a while but I would have been annoyed if I'd bought it myself and was rubbish.

I don't really suit heavy eye makeup looks so the colours are perfect for me. They're really pigmented so you only need a little bit.

I have a naked pallette but have to say that the too faced chocolate bar pallette is 100% better. The naked pallette seems cheap and nasty next to it. Pigmentation and quality of the shadows is so much better, I would definitely recommend it, smells like chocolate too Smile

I have Naked 1 and do love it, but they're expensive for what they are.

Have you ever tried any Makeup Revolution products? They do dupes for all 3 of the Urban Decay naked palettes and they're £4 each. After using both I'd say they're pretty much even in terms of quality Smile

Naked Palette 1 dupe

I have the Iconic 3 palette which is a dupe for Naked 3 and they are absolutely beautiful colours!

(Also hoping that link works because it's the first time I've ever done one like that...)

There's some really good swatch comparison pics on here, (towards the bottom of the post), along with a review of the smoky palette. www.thebeautylookbook.com/2015/07/urban-decay-naked-smoky-palette.html?m=1

I am obsessed with urban decay eyeliners... The green ones are gorgeous!

Wagglebees · 09/01/2016 20:14

I've been on the look out for an eyeliner. I'll try UD, thanks Oly.

ComeInBaldrick · 09/01/2016 20:57

I have them all. They are totally worth it imo. They last all day, are beautifully pigmented and don't crease. My favourite eye shadows.

ComeInBaldrick · 09/01/2016 20:59

Oh and I know you didn't ask about this, but the make up setting spray is fabulous (I use the one for oily skin). I have really oily skin, but my make up doesn't budge all day with it! Even when I sweat!

KwickNC · 09/01/2016 21:01

Have them all 3 is my favourite but I must say the palettes from MUA and makeup revolution that are basically dupes of the naked palettes are better pigmented

IncidentalAnarchist · 10/01/2016 15:03

Thank you all! I've splurged on naked 2, just had a wee play and got a massive compliment from husband. Also treated myself to one of the naked cheeks palettes which is gorgeous BUT got home and discovered it's smashed 😡 I don't have time to exchange it and am going away tomorrow so will have to put up with a smashed bronzer blusher and highlighter 😞

I bought Naked 2 about 18 months ago and have used it everyday - the colours are fabulous and last all day. I like the shimmer shades (they are not too sparkly).
I got Naked Smokey for Christmas. Great for evening looks but not so good for every day. Has more matte shades though.

Wagglebees · 10/01/2016 16:13

Incidental I'll maybe get strung up for this but I'd just carefully use a bit of the cheek palette whilst away then take it back for a replacement when you come back. It's not like they can sell it to anyone else.

Wagglebees · 10/01/2016 16:14

Unless you're going away for months that is. Grin

IncidentalAnarchist · 10/01/2016 17:57

Not months!!! Maybe I'll take a photo of it so it's time stamped then try to return it next weekend. That could work!
