Again. I tell you. Hairspray is the dogs nuts. Spray liberally before you leave the house. No frizz, style stays intact etc. I'm normally elnett. Liking the frizz ease one atm.

ALSO VESTS. God they are miracle workers. For workwear I use the really thin tight slinky marks ones and they mean you don't have to layer up all the time.
That's is all.

I thought you were going to combine the two in some sort of dazzling trickery.

But thank you all the same.

Bras are pretty useful too Hmm

DurhamDurham · 07/01/2016 19:54

I hate hairspray, I like my hair to feel natural and to, you know, move Grin

southeastastra · 07/01/2016 20:26

i need hairspray my hair is all soft and all over the place without it

agree with vests also, i also like an all in one

Wagglebees · 07/01/2016 20:33

I'm on board with vests. They're the bollocks.

Hate the smell and feel of hairspray. If there's one that doesn't make you stink like an 80's disco and your head itch after an hour then I'd be willing to try it again.

Wagglebees · 07/01/2016 20:34

Although I loved a bit of glitter hairspray back in the day. Grin

MuchasSmoochas · 07/01/2016 20:50

I was also expecting a top tip here. Maybe skooshing hairspray on vest straps to prevent slippage?

I like the big white one. It's rock hard.

Kennington · 07/01/2016 21:01

Jack I could have written this myself. Vests and hairspray everyday. Solve so many problems!
I could add eyelash curlers to that though.

Hatethis22 · 07/01/2016 21:02

I'm with you on the M&S vests. They are brilliant.

JackandDiane · 07/01/2016 22:45

The hairspray wears off. By lunchtime your do still looks nice. Not crazy hair

Vests are not good when you're getting hot flushes. I need removable layers.

Wagglebees · 08/01/2016 00:10

My older sister put me off hairspray. She used to go through a whole can of Elnett per week. Her bedroom was coated.

whatdoIget · 08/01/2016 00:13

I'd forgotten about hairspray during my experiment with the curly girl method. I'm now all about silicones and straighteners Smile
I might get me some hairspray at the weekend to complete the wholly unnatural look Grin

Wagglebees · 08/01/2016 00:35

I like a good silicone packed hair product.

whatdoIget · 08/01/2016 00:37

God so do I! My hair is a million times better now!

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 08/01/2016 00:41

Oh I love a vest. So warm. Don't like hairspray but had recently realised the way to stop damp and drizzle ruling hair is... Wear a hat. Simple.

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 08/01/2016 10:25

Silicone I love. Hairspray? Horrible stinky stuff that makes hair feel horrible and look false. Yucky stuff!

Amrapaali · 08/01/2016 10:57

Hairspray has to be applied with a very light touch., Don't go trigger happy on the nozzle. Angle the can at least a good three/four inches away from hair and spray a light mist. It does work!! And very well...Hair stays obedient and still moves.

No helmet hair or looking like the Queen's coif...hairspray has evolved quite a bit, I think.

MamaAwayOnBusiness · 08/01/2016 11:01

Yup, I come from warm climate and live in England, the vest only comes off few weeks in the summer. I get mine from H&M.

JackandDiane · 08/01/2016 17:02

Agree. Light touch hairspray. Didn't do it well this am and hair looked a shocker by lunch

Hmm, you've twisted my arm. I think you can buy teeny cans of Elnett and the like in Boots can't you? I'll get one to give it a try.

Wagglebees · 08/01/2016 20:16

Or actually I might have some already...

Just checked my hair stuff drawer and there's a ruddy great can of gold Elnett in there! Shock

So I'll try it again on Sunday when I'm out all day.

candykane25 · 08/01/2016 20:26

I always wear a vest. Feel naked without one.
Primark control vests are not silky but very good.
I have stopped wearing a bra and just wear a supportive vest now.
It's very radical as I have big norks but ooooh it is liberating and so comfortable.
Hairspray has to be elnett, the flexible one. Don't feel done until a zoosh with it.

ggirl · 08/01/2016 20:30

I have only just realised that you are meant to brush the hairspray out of your hair at night ..that stops you waking up looking like Ken Dodd..
