Full length ball gown for shorties ...where?

I have a ball to attend in a few months and have been looking for gowns.
Are there any stockists of ball gowns in petite lengths?
I'm 5ft and everything I have seen full length would drown me

I would recommend getting something you like and then having it altered to fit you :) I have done this before with ball gowns. Places that stock bridesmaid dresses are maybe a good place to start as they often have a seamstress too so can advise on the look on a person who is shorter.

I'm 5ft 2, I've never found a ball gown that didn't need altering.

My local bridal shop do a great job of alterations and I once got an ex-display bridesmaid dress for a ball which they adjusted so it was basically almost made to measure.
