Hi,

First post. Happy new year!

Obviously I want to look fabulous but I'm struggling to find anything non frumpy, not overly glam, or the right shape.

I'm a young looking 52 (Confused) and a size 12.
I don't like my legs at all so definitely below the knee - which is the main problem in finding something, I think.

I've been reading the 'expensive' thread and would like to look polished, chic and glamorous. Figure hugging styles suit me best.

Help!

Lovely problem to have!

What's your budget and which (wrong) places have you already rejected?

I'd look for clothes you like to wear rather than anything obviously made for a MOB.

Yes, you're right Gruach - the MOB shops are grim.
Budget of £500ish?

I've looked at Coast, John Lewis, MOB shops, Hobbs, etc.

It would be great to see some photos of recent real life outfits if anyone is brave enough!

You don't need photos of other people - you need to fall in love with real clothes that look wonderful on you!

What is your usual style? With £500 I imagine you regularly go in to the shops you like rather than merely pressing your nose against the window.

Have you gone thoroughly through the websites (particularly the sale section right now) of Matches, Net a Porter, Browns, Feathers and anything similar that I can't think of at the moment? They all trade in "polished, chic and glamorous" It's almost impossible that you would not find something perfect.
