I've got a fair few bits of (costume) jewellery, the usual stuff - long and short necklaces, bangles and bracelets and earrings.

They are stored in loads of little boxes and drawstring bags. Is this the right way though? I can never see what I have at a glance and sometimes forget about stuff or wear the same pieces all the time.

Please can you let me know if you have found a solution to this? I am tempted to buy some clear perspex boxes and drawers with dividers (á la Muji) but they are expensive enough (or would they be a good investment?)

Any advice from those who have worked it out please? Thanks in advance.

I had one of these as a present which is great for earrings www.amazon.co.uk/Purple-The-Little-Book-Earrings/dp/B003DGPL3E

I have screwed some hooks on the wall inside my build in wardrobe and all necklaces are hung on there.

I've got a special hanger for scarves too, think it was from primark but have also seen in b and m recently.

I have a Perspex compartment box, a fererrorocher tray for earrings (honestly it just the right size if you have a lot of stud earrings) and a necklace tree thingy. Also ha e an idea drawer separator for bigger stuff that u don't mind chucking together.

I have a clear perspex box with little compartments for my good stuff and i have stuck those removable clear hooks (think they are made my the pritt stick company) on the inside of my door, which is great as I can now see everything and finds I wear things more often. However I've had to learn to open the door gently as it makes a right racket, especially with some of the bigger costume pieces.

Good stuff goes in a leather sadly not smythson jewelry box. The rest is in a variety of dishes, bowls and pots or shoved in a drawer.

I store all my silver stuff with packets of silica or chalk to cut down on the cleaning.

I do have a safe which I put stuff in if we're going away but since my engagement ring is my most valuable piece of jewelry and I wear it everywhere it feels pointless.
