M&S, what to buy?

Hiya, Happy Christmas Eve.

I've been given £150 in m&s vouchers, yay!

It's not a shop I usually go in so after any recomemdations that you have, please.

I'm early 40s, s10-12, work FT in an office. Could def do with a pair of skinny/slim jeans if they're any good?

Thanks!

cashmere

JapanNextYear · 25/12/2015 05:17

The jeggings are good. Cashmere can be good but I find the cut of m and s jumpers rarely works on me. Some people rave about the beauty stuff.

BrendaandEddie · 25/12/2015 08:23

Yes I agree about cut this year

Roygrace · 25/12/2015 08:37

Pixi beauty stuff

Rpj16 · 25/12/2015 08:41

Their undwear range is really nice (or you could spend it on a really nice food shop!!)

Unrelated shop, but kind of related - I spent my £100 sainsburys voucher on petrol Blush

VulcanWoman · 25/12/2015 08:43

I'd just go with the food.

BikeRunSki · 25/12/2015 08:58

Food
Wine

I don't really like their clothes

I'd buy ds a new bed with that amount of m&s vouchers.

Biscetti · 25/12/2015 09:08

I second their jeggings. The 5 pocket black ones are ace. I'm a 10/12 and buy the 10s. They wash brilliantly and when they do eventually fade I bung them in the machine with Dylon velvet black and they're new again. And only £22.

PunkrockerGirl · 25/12/2015 09:11

Haven't tried it myself, but people rave about the Pixi skincare range.

polyhymnia · 25/12/2015 09:27

I'd look at the cashmere range.

BrendaandEddie · 25/12/2015 09:28

I didnt like the jeggings - too high waisted

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 25/12/2015 09:29

I love the jeggings, they fit me perfectly.

MissBattleaxe · 25/12/2015 09:46

The perfume section is selling really great stuff right now: Fragonard, Roger et Gallet, Shay and Blue.. treat yourself!

Gruach · 25/12/2015 10:09

Wine.

Unless you want a decade's worth of thermal foundationing.

Merry Christmas!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/12/2015 13:50

Cashmere
Beauty stuff
Rosie silk underwear
I have their Autograph skinny black jeans and they are they business. I like the jeggings in proper denim, but the black ones have gone rubbish. The Autograph ones are excellent.
And a dressing gown.

planter · 25/12/2015 14:07

I got vouchers too. I've seen a swingy black jersey work dress that can be dressed up or down, hang on I'll look for a pic....

planter · 25/12/2015 14:11

Here we go

M&S, what to buy?
I8toys · 25/12/2015 16:31

I also get M&S vouchers every year. I always buy homeware because the clothes are pretty shocking. Bought kids new bedding and pillows with some of my £150. Probably spend the rest on food.

thelaundryfairy · 25/12/2015 20:17

I like the Autograph bras, also their black opaque tights.

Naoko · 25/12/2015 20:20

I dislike their clothes and bras, but they do really comfy boots and some are very nice too. Maybe have a look at the footwear?

Lavent · 25/12/2015 20:25

Perfume
Underwear
Tights / socks
Knitwear
Jeggings (I have a pair of the Roma ones and they're fab)
Bedding

I love M&S Blush

tippytap · 25/12/2015 22:14

Brilliant!
Thanks for all the suggestions, can't wait to take a look
Xx

Are the towels any good? I have a voucher and actually think the M&S clothes have got better in the past year ... But, I have a dream of replacing all our old tatty towels with lovely new ones. Any advice?

PeppermintInfusion · 27/12/2015 13:23

Most m&s have started selling higher end beauty brands, REN, Pixi, etc so worth a look if the clothing doesn't take your fancy.

BrendaandEddie · 27/12/2015 13:29

I really don't GET these threads. Buy some food if there's nothing you want to wear.

It's not hard
