Spotty chin since August. Any way to get rid of them?

I'm lucky to have generally good skin with few spots. I went camping (as my period arrived) in August and since then I've had a spotty chin. They've worked their way up to my nose.
I've tried keeping the area clean and moisturising and avoiding makeup when I can, but nothing helps. I'd been using Clinique toner regularly and it seemed to have almos done the trick, but as AF approaches they're all back.
Is there any way to get rid of them? I'm not on any hormonal contraception, but am tempted to take the mini pill I have from the dr in an attempt to fix it!

Hibiscrub worked for me too, had horrible acne for years Dr suggested it and from all the different antibiotics and different contraception for years Hibiscrub is the only thing that cleared it. I use it every morning have sensitive freckly skin and I don't have any issues.

Could well be the dimethicone in headline treatment that started it... Good luck and happy healing for your skin!

The spots came before I discovered the headlice, unfortunately. I'd like to be to know what did it. Especially as I think my scalp does the same, on and off.

Are your 'spots' actually acne type spots i.e inflamed, painful, pus filled bumps. Or are they spots more like a rash?

I strongly advise agaist washing your skin with any harsh products. If it is acne related you will find it gets worse. This is because you will be destroying your skins barrier which allows the acne causing bacteria to thrive, along with your skin going into overdrive producing more oil to compensate. You need to baby your skin with a cleanser with ph less than 6 (cerave cleansers from amazon uk are excellent value and ph 5.5). Plus gentle moisturisers. Boots does a 5% benzoyl peroxide cream (acnecide). Use as a spot treatment. You can also apply a thin layer as a preventative treatment if your skin is not too dry or irritated (apply after cleansing).

Also (assuming it is acne related) you may want to look at hormonal changes. Evening primrose oil, fish oil, increasing vitamin e and zinc are all good ways of fighting spots from the inside.

They look like little spots but haven't got anything in them (I've tried squeezing...)
I'm thinking its dermatitis, but as I'm in th middle of my cycle they've almost completely cleared up. Give it a week and a half and they'll likely be back...

The dr was able to see a couple of the spots but most have done their monthly disappearance. She said it may be rosacea (?) but prescribed a course of low dose antibiotics which was what I read was suggested for the perioral dermatitis too, so fingers crossed might zap something!

It's not true at all that the mini pill is the only one you can take over 35, not if you don't smoke. I'm 40 and I'm on the combined pill, and I've heard other posters say it's considered safe right up to the menopause now.

I'm BFing, hence I was prescribed it. I havent taken it though.

I've been meaning to update this to say that the spots didn't come back. I don't think the antibiotics did it as I stopped taking them (thought they may be causing a different reaction). I concluded that the sun safe high SPF tinted cream was probably the cause, although they lingered long after I stopped using it.
However... The last day or so they've reappeared. Next to my mouth where they started last year! The only thing that's changed is I used some olay SPF moisturiser on my face on Sunday :(
Am I destined not to be able to use anything like that on my face? Shall I invest I a very big hat?Sad
