How can I get my nail varnish off without nail varnish remover?

Doesn't work with dark colours but I've taken mine off in the past by applying a new layer of polish and then wiping like crazy! Dark colours stain your nails though...!

I mean wiping while it's wet...

Turps or white spirit. Wash hands well afterwards though.

Another coat of varnish and then scrub, not great but the only way I know other than buffing but that will weaken your nails

Wonder if alcohol would do it, something like vodka.

Anything will rubbing alcohol should work eventually.

So, deodorant or hairspray should work.

Chip it off with a knife or similar?

Bite it off agggrhhh

Mine has been inadvertently destroyed by mosquito repellent before.
