Mine is currently wearing tatty 501s which he keeps buying even though he always moans about the quality.
Urgently needs a new pair but we don't have much time for trawling shops.
He wears a 36R and has large or should I say manly thighs.

All ideas welcome please!

Nudie for my dh. He is 48 and slim - short legs though.

BikeRunSki · 14/12/2015 07:53

Many years ago my first graduate job was in Newcastle and I shared an office with 2 boys with very long legs, both 33"-34" (and size 13 feet). One was extremely well off, and basically sponsored by Daddy, and got his jeans from Nicole Farhi because "they are the only ones with legs long enough". T'other wasn't well off at all and got this jeans from Geordie Jeans (cheap and cheerful but many many sizes, leg lengths, brands, colours, excellent own label stuff) for the same reason.

33" isn't that long for a man. In fact it is too short for OH.

Fivetoomany · 14/12/2015 07:56

My dh wears Edwin's. 6'2 34 waist big thighs. Lovely quality. Also recommend nudie Smile

gBean · 14/12/2015 07:56

Primark!

Spidertracker · 14/12/2015 08:00

Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's as do I.
He's 41, 5'8 at a push 30" waist.

BikeRunSki · 14/12/2015 08:08

Their legs may have been long Bun. It was 20 years ago, so Tgevdetails might be fuzzy. Must have been longer actually, because I'm a 32" leg and only 5'8". These chaps were both a lot over 6'2". Much taller than DH which is why I remember. Anyway, between us, with my size 9 lady feet, we spent s lot of time scouring the shops of the Toon for shoes and clothes.

My DH is 41 and wears diesel, he buys them from John Lewis.

burnishedsilver · 14/12/2015 08:19

Mid 40s. Tommy Hilfiger and Gap.

I think 34 inch leg is about average. My 14 year old is in 32 inch already.

CocktailQueen · 14/12/2015 08:20

M&S Blue ?Harbour range, or Next.

cressetmama · 14/12/2015 08:42

Seconding Edwin's for the chap who is no longer a racing snake in shape. My DH (6' 5", 59, 38 waist, 34 inside leg) has just bought two pairs online to replace Nautica loose fit which are no longer available in the UK. They were sent from Switzerland, free delivery, and are ample in every dimension. They had to be taken up and he could possibly have fitted into a 36 waist but he says they're comfortable which is his priority. They also look decent, which pleases me.

ItGoesWithoutSaying · 14/12/2015 08:57

DH buys his from Urban Outfitters. He says a lot of brands there (Cheap Monday?) do waists in "half sizes" (e.g. 31") which means he can get a good fit. I think they also have various leg lengths too.

laplumeofmyaunt · 14/12/2015 09:05

DH is 6'4'' with longish skinnyish legs, and no arse. Generally buys his jeans in Debenhams blue X sale as he hates clothes shopping and they generally have enough pairs at 70% off to keep him going for a couple of years. Interesting about Costco jeans - I was annoyed they don't seem to do women's jeans - I'm 6'2'' and actually find Sainsbo's Tu brand long straight or boot cut are rather fab for me.

DH's best buy was a pair of 501s in Selfridges sale at Trafford centre a few years ago - they were £16.

Naicecuppatea · 14/12/2015 09:23

Mine's 39, over 6ft, goes to Banana Republic for jeans.

FireCrotch · 15/12/2015 06:42

Costco do women's jeans. Just not in my size. :( they do Kirkland l, Miss Sixty, Calvin Klein and Levis. I've also seen Acne in the past.

KB2651 · 15/12/2015 07:00

Wrangler. They've got a range of slightly different styles and do a fair few leg lengths. Our local Debenhams does them, which is handy

Higge · 15/12/2015 08:02

Gap

whitewineandchocolate · 15/12/2015 08:08

Another one for Gap.

Liveinthepresent · 15/12/2015 10:46

Thanks so much for these he is going to try Gap - and we have had amazing success with a smart boss pair.

My Dad is 50. He wears 501s every single day and has done my whole life. He does a manual job and wears them for work. They last him probably at least 12 months with three pairs on rotation which I think it good going when you think that is at least 120 days wear out of them in a manual job?! I couldn't think of any that would last much longer?! Thats 50p a wear...
My husband wears jeans maybe once a week... His jeans last forever (or until he moves up a waist size) but he gets new ones as fashion styles change.

WhyDoesGastonBark · 15/12/2015 11:21

I'm really confused as all the men in my family are over 6ft and they all wear Levi's no problem- they must have long bodies!

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 15/12/2015 11:21

Diesel. He is 6'2 and skinny and suits them. I think for larger or stockier builds Wrangler.
