Quick Q for perfume folk - EDT vs EDP

Recently my DM smelt an old fragrance she used to wear on a woman in a shop and was wracking her brains to remember what it was.

Eventually she worked out it was Ysatis but when I looked online to get it for Christmas I could only find it in EDT which my DM has always insisted is a waste of money compared to EDP - is this true? DH's aftershave is EDT and I've always found it strong enough.

Opinions welcome!

Edp lasts longer because it is more concentrated.

Careful when buying it as ysatis was reformulated at some point. The vintage version (the superior classic one) has a gold lid and comes in a black box.

ScienceRocks · 10/12/2015 17:41

Oh, and the edt lasts. I've been wearing it all day today and I still smell it!

Thanks Science, noted re the lid and box I'd have had no idea. And do you mean you've been wearing Ysatis all day?!

My favourite is Issey Miyake. The EDP last lots longer than the EDT

I will if I can afford to, always go with the EDP. You are buying a scent at the end of the day so why not buy the scent at its best?

ScienceRocks · 11/12/2015 07:28

Yes Bav, I was having a retro day!

Bavmorda · 11/12/2015 15:00

Great, good to know it lasted.
